MadHatterMike Posted October 10, 2014 Posted October 10, 2014 Ok, here goes, I have been looking for the pages of the road mocs, (where the bricks are on the side) don't want to use road plates, mainly because I want to use a street car, and black looks better than dark gray for roads And: the page to raise the base plate, (have a thicker base, for when I make said roads), (the base plate, bricks, and base plate setup) I saw them the other day and I can't find them again. Dennan Posted October 10, 2014 Posted October 10, 2014 (edited) Thanks. I'm working on some roads as well, but hadn't found those pages yet. I'm starting to build them in pieces of 16 studs long, this gives some flexibility for the modulars, and would be a little bit easier to do as there are bricks which are 16 studs long. My roads are higher than the modulars and looking into raising these as well, but this would be using a lot of bricks.. Made some road ideas in LDD, will try to add a picture later today. Wookiee Posted October 10, 2014 Posted October 10, 2014 I am going the swebricks route but with three plates through the middle so if i want a single line it ends up the same width if i have a double line in places. Also if you use 1x1 round bricks you can have the road go up and down with a smooth transition. I have not done the curved road bit yet but have a a good pic of it done and will be attempting it at some stage. Quote
Dennan Posted October 10, 2014 Posted October 10, 2014 As promissed the designs so far. Any ideas or suggestions are welcome. 16 wide road: Variety of roads: Quote
lightningtiger Posted October 10, 2014 Posted October 10, 2014 Hmm, not really my cup of tea.....I used 8x16 tiles for road surfaces. Quote
