Nevo Posted October 5, 2014 Posted October 5, 2014 The Founder has been inactive since September 15th... so I was just wondering who runs the show here and actually manages this website from a technical point of view? Quote

Alasdair Ryan Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 So just out of curiosity according to the staff structure both Boney and the Hinckmister are in charge all the time now, and together both own the site? Jipay still helps out running the site, but is less involved now than in the past which would explain his "activeness" . He still has not posted in any of my topics,he can't be much of a technic fan. Eurobricks Emperor Bonaparte Posted October 7, 2014 Eurobricks Emperor Posted October 7, 2014 So just out of curiosity according to the staff structure both Boney and the Hinckmister are in charge all the time now, and together both own the site? We don't see it like that. Eurobricks in my mind is owned by the people who are a part of this community, members and staff. There's not one person who's in charge and the responsibilities are spread over our staff. For example, our star wars moderator is in charge of the star wars forum. He has the final say over everything that happens in there. We do have special mechanisms in place to make sure decisions can be made when the staff are divided over a subject. In such scenario's the root admins could force the decision, but so far this was never needed (to the best of my recollection). When it comes to 'physically owning' Eurobricks, our assets are spread over different admins: our server is on my name, the URL is on Jipay's name while our Google ads are on Sinner's name. We really want this to be a place of the LEGO fans, and that's reflected all the way in our staff organisation. I think that's pretty unique in the online AFOL community! Quote

Thank you for your explanation,in my opinion Eurobricks is by far the best online AFOL site, due mainly because of all the wonderful staff (and past staff, alot has changed since I first joined) in the way Eurobricks is setup and run.
