TheBlackFool Posted October 2, 2014 Posted October 2, 2014 I'm really interested in picking this set up. I just found a cheap Mos Espa Podrace, and plan on getting this to finally have all the podracers (a childhood dream). Do you think it would be easier to bricklink this or find the set whole? I don't really mind if it's used. I know a lot of the common parts are easy to find, but I'm more worried about the specialty printed ones and figures like Watto himself. Also anyone with the set, can you confirm that both podracers can be built at the same time? From what I understand Beedo's racer is complete, but the other one needs to be built with the parts from his shop. Which is fine for me, I just want to make sure you don't have to take apart one podracer to build the other. Thanks in advance guys! I'm super excited. Owning these sets has practically been a life long dream. Quote
Walter Kovacs Posted October 2, 2014 Posted October 2, 2014 Taking a quick look at Bricklink, it seems that the cheapest complete used set goes for about $90 USD, while the Watto fig is going for around $70 USD. I think It's safe to say buying the set as a whole will be the least expensive route. I can't answer the second question, though you could always Bicklink the parts to "complete" the second racer. Thank you so much! Yes, I definitely agree. And 90 bucks isn't too bad for a set that retailed at 50 bucks 15 years ago. None of those parts should be hard to bricklink, so yeah I think I'll pick one up. Then I'm going to MOC all the other Podracers I like that aren't part of those five *twitch* Quote
Artizan Posted October 2, 2014 Posted October 2, 2014 and since Ree-yees figure has been released recently, you can Moc a Mawhonic figure for the lone podracer too! Quote
Blackice200 Posted October 3, 2014 Posted October 3, 2014 (edited) I'd buy the whole set. And yes. You can rebuild the 2nd pod, at the cost of the sand colored arches and tool racks. Edited October 3, 2014 by Blackice200 Quote
