The Duke has been on a mission in deepest darkest...well, we can't say where, but it was pretty hazardous, it took a very long time and he totally missed the Mount Up deadline. Draco dormiens nunquam titillandus. He did bring back some intriguing contraband, a new ride for those long distance journeys. You might be able to guess where he picked this up.

Actually, this is not really a Historica build. It is my entry for the Dress my Exo-Suit challenge. I think it fits pretty well for the Historica storyline though, and it's a bit different to the other brick-built animals around here.

This is a totally new style of building for me, and I was very happy with the outcome, so I thought I would share it with you guys. Obviously, it's built on top of the Exo Suit (rear legs, wings), and it is a mash up of system, technic and CCBS. I found it extremely refreshing to build with parts that are designed to only allow one point of connection, rather than finding out too late that most of my parts are only connected by one stud!

This is pretty damn awesome! Great stuff!

Thanks LV! It was fun to build in Nocturnus style again.

Great usage of bionicle pieces, I'd never thought they're useful. Good luck in the challenge!

Thanks MontyPython. I always want to use my limited array of bionicle pieces but they never work out. Until this time! Actually the proudest part usage has to be my Dino 2010 pterodactyl wings, I never thought they would be good for anything!

Good luck in the challenge Robuko! It looks badass :)

Thanks Gunman. I thought the Hobbit fans deserved better than what we got this time. This would probably work out about the same price as the official Smaug but it's twice as big.

Great job robuko, so much to like in this build

Thanks Scaevola, I'm glad you like it.

Nice, very organic!

Thanks Carson. I am a huge fan of Mike Nieves and I was kind of baby-step experimenting with how he gets some of his shapes.

This is great! Love the build; love the story.

Thanks SarahJoy, The Duke has a long association with secret missions in Nocturnus and gets up to some real crazy stuff when he's there

Late, but fashionably so, I would say! Interesting design, I can't believe there's an exosuit under there!

Thanks ME, honestly all my pieces were packed away until a few weeks ago so I missed the deadline. Ironically, the endoskeleton of this is an exo suit! The technic/bionicle connections are incredibly forgiving, you just need one hole or pin and then you can attach almost anything to it. This is the underside, and the spine/neck snaps on the other side of the suit.

Sorry to bump, but if you liked this would you please consider voting for it in the Exo suit voting thread? It is Number 6 in category A

Awesome dragon, it looks fantastic and very ferocious. It's nice to see use of bionicle/ hero factory etc parts!

Thanks LordDan, I was pretty happy with the way it turned out. I might pick up more of these type of parts!

Love dragons and this one is awesome! Excellent NPU !! Very well done!

Thanks a lot cesbrick, I really appreciate it. I was happy with the use of dragon heads for shoulder blades :classic:

I am not usually a big fan of Bionicle/Hero Factory builds, but this actually looks quite good, robuko!

I think the front legs look a little bit too mech-like, but that is probably from the fact that this was built over the exo-suit skeleton, which just makes this more amazing!

Excellent creature design! Your talent for details is showing here as well.

(I know for a fact that I commented in this thread on my phone, must have gotten lost in the air...)
