Starwars4J Posted June 21, 2007 Posted June 21, 2007 I was browsing before bed, and came across this. Not only was the photography amazing (please someone tell me how to make this effect!) but the whole MOC is just...*wub* there are no words. Without further ado... In the rest of the gallery you can see the wings are also pure Lego. God this thing blows me away. Bryce's Gallery here Quote
Eurobricks Emperor Bonaparte Posted June 21, 2007 Eurobricks Emperor Posted June 21, 2007 This must be the best Lego dragon I've ever seen. Those wings are just incredible. But the entire scenery with those big trees is very good. I would have liked a picture from above, showing the back of the dragon. Quote
dunamis Posted June 21, 2007 Posted June 21, 2007 Wow, that really is amazing! I love the use of the old Ninja wings. Quote
Stauder Posted June 21, 2007 Posted June 21, 2007 Wow. Definatly the most detailed lego dragon, EVER! I meal just look at the belly, and wings! Are those from the ewok attack set? Quote
gylman Posted June 21, 2007 Posted June 21, 2007 Very impressive and very clever building techinques. I wish the photography was a bit better. You do something amazing like this, but then you spend 30 seconds photographing it, and you don't get to truly show off (I mean show off in a good way) your work. Quote
Fordo Posted June 21, 2007 Posted June 21, 2007 This dragon rocks! Biggest and best designed Dragon I've seen Kudos to the creator. *y* Quote
Shakar Posted June 21, 2007 Posted June 21, 2007 Yep, this wonderful dragon was built by the great Cajun. Check his other Brickshelf folder here, and don't forget to take a look at one of his greatest MOCs...the gorgeus Rack. Shakar Quote
SirNadroj Posted June 21, 2007 Posted June 21, 2007 Wow, very well done! And I checked out the "Rack" the same member did. Does that have anything to do with H.R. Giger? Quote
gylman Posted June 21, 2007 Posted June 21, 2007 Whoa. This is Cajun's work? Makes sense. He is considered the greated Bionicle element builder of all time by some.... the Rack is incredible. Quote
Asuka Posted June 21, 2007 Posted June 21, 2007 I was browsing before bed, and came across this. Not only was the photography amazing (please someone tell me how to make this effect!) What effect? 8-| He he, no, sorry, I Quote
iamded Posted June 22, 2007 Posted June 22, 2007 (edited) Wow, those wings are amazing! And the trees... wow! And the head, and the way the body's been put together... this is just amazing!! *y* *y* :-D :-D And the Dragon Rider's halberd. :-D Edited June 22, 2007 by iamded Quote
Siegfried Posted June 22, 2007 Posted June 22, 2007 That is my favourite Lego dragon now. I was hoping that he had a picture there good enough for a wallpaper but I can't say that I like any of the angles. It sure makes me want to get back to my half-finished dragon. Quote
trooperdavinfelth Posted June 22, 2007 Posted June 22, 2007 LET'S HEAR IT FOR SMAUG! WOOHOO! Simply amazing. The wings? Pure talent. The head? Pure genius. The neck and underbelly? Sheer AMAZINGNESS! The whole diorama? Perfect. It gives the medieval look to it. *y* *y* *y* *y* *y* *y* *y* *y* *y* *y* Quote
Wout Posted June 22, 2007 Posted June 22, 2007 Wow, very well done! And I checked out the "Rack" the same member did. Does that have anything to do with H.R. Giger? Is that the same artist who made the drawings for the "alien"films? It also reminds me of it. Quote
SirNadroj Posted June 22, 2007 Posted June 22, 2007 Is that the same artist who made the drawings for the "alien"films? It also reminds me of it. Yup, Giger desgined the Alien creatures. :-) He is my favorite artist, The Rack sorta reminded me of his work. Quote
Berry Syedow Posted June 22, 2007 Posted June 22, 2007 (edited) I agree, this is probably one of the best dragons I've seen. It doesn't suffer from that "blocky syndrome" that hampers many brick built beasts, so it looks a lot more realistic. *y* To this magnificent beasty and its talented builder! P.S. ~SirNadroj, those are some pretty nice fig scenes! Edited June 22, 2007 by Berry Syedow Quote

Truly pure, solid, and amazing MOC. I wonder what the swoosh factor on this thing is, though... :-D Quote
Capn Kirk 911 Posted June 25, 2007 Posted June 25, 2007 I love those wings! Jeez they're just incredible. Well, pretty much the whole dragon is incredible. I would classify it as the best dragon I have ever seen. Quote
Darkness Falls Posted June 26, 2007 Posted June 26, 2007 I've spent hours trying to replicate what Cajun can do with bricks and pieces... he's simply a great sculptor. Whether it's his famous Weaving technique or with bricks alone, he never ceases to impress me. Well, maybe a couple of times. Quote
TheCloneWalker Posted July 11, 2007 Posted July 11, 2007 Simply amazing. I am lost for words. I dare anyone who is man (or woman) enough, to make a dragon of this calibre. But i bet no-one will. Dragons on! *wub* TheCloneWalker Quote
Sir Dillon Posted July 11, 2007 Posted July 11, 2007 I dare anyone who is man (or woman) enough, to make a dragon of this calibre. Ha! Okay, that's actually by the same guy, but still... And a dragon like either of these takes a lot of parts and a tremendous amount of skill. (and time) I doubt anyone is going to try and build something like this just because someone dared them to. El Bucanero Posted July 11, 2007 Posted July 11, 2007 This has to be one of the best dragons I've ever seen by far. And I've seen alot. I'm especially impressed by the wings. Ha! Okay, that's actually by the same guy, but still... And a dragon like either of these takes a lot of parts and a tremendous amount of skill. (and time) I doubt anyone is going to try and build something like this just because someone dared them to. X-O Also incredibly amazing! Wow! This guy really knows his stuff! Mr Tiber Quote
