Paul B Technic Posted October 5, 2014 Author Posted October 5, 2014 (edited) This is my latest MOC, a LEGO Technic air traffic control tower. This fits in with my aircraft theme and is the first time I have tried to build a LEGO Technic building. It features a rear access ladder, desk, radar dish and two aerials, one for VHF air band communications to planes and the second is a UHF aerial for the ground crews. http://paulstechnic.blogspot.com.au/2014/10/moc-air-traffic-control-tower.html Edited October 5, 2014 by Paul B Quote
D3K Posted October 5, 2014 Posted October 5, 2014 (edited) Also something unique! I'd try to use some flat panels for the "walls" in the tower though.. Seeing as it is 13 studs wide, you should be able to fit flat 5x11 panels on all sides (except the rear), or at least the front! Edited October 5, 2014 by D3K Quote
Nevo Posted October 5, 2014 Posted October 5, 2014 Paul, your models look amazing, love the designs! Quote
Paul B Technic Posted October 6, 2014 Author Posted October 6, 2014 Thanks for the feedback. I am all out of 5x11 panels but this is a good idea for the future :) Paul, your models look amazing, love the designs! Thank you, I am glad you like them :) Quote
Paul B Technic Posted October 9, 2014 Author Posted October 9, 2014 The control tower will be broken down soon to give me the parts for my next project :) I have also created this poster which I will be using to promote my Seaplane MOC on LEGO ideas. Quote
Paul B Technic Posted November 6, 2014 Author Posted November 6, 2014 This project has been removed so don't bother trying to find it. Quote
MajklSpajkl Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 Did you remove it youself, or did they ban it? I like the idea of the whole aeronautic infrastructure and not just aircrafts. Great project as a whole. Quote

750ACE Posted November 7, 2014 Posted November 7, 2014 I asked for it to be removed as I have now sold ALL my LEGO Technic.... No lego again? Oh man.... Quote
D3K Posted November 7, 2014 Posted November 7, 2014 Why did you ask them to remove it then? And WHY ON EARTH did you sell all your Lego Technic? Quote
Rishab N Posted November 7, 2014 Posted November 7, 2014 Aw come on didn't you learn the first time; it isn't a good idea to sell the Technic . However, if it is something personal I do respect that and I hope you choose to come back to the hobby again Quote
DrJB Posted November 7, 2014 Posted November 7, 2014 Nicely done ... but .. I must say that I've never seen a tracked vehicle pulling an airplane. To be technically 'correct' ... tracked vehciles typically go on rough non-paved surfaces, whereas a plane requires a high-quality smooth/surface ... seems the two are so out of place together .... :) Quote
