henrysunset Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 I just bought my second copy of 21050 - the LEGO Architecture Studio set. Apart from the 10$ price increase, I noticed a number of unexpected changes were made to the set, branding and packaging. I shared these changes in the following short article... LINK: http://tomalphin.com/2014/09/changes-to-21050-architecture-studio.html Have you noticed any other changes? Do other LEGO sets see this much change in the middle of the release? Discuss! Sincerely, ---tom Quote
rollermonkey Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 I mostly bought mine for the book. I'm embarrassed to say that I haven't opened the bags of bricks. That said, I won't be buying a second, but it's odd the changes in the packaging are so drastic. Quote
henrysunset Posted September 9, 2014 Author Posted September 9, 2014 (edited) I mostly bought mine for the book. I'm embarrassed to say that I haven't opened the bags of bricks. Had I known, I would have purchased your bricks instead of buying a second whole set.. Even though I just bought the set, I'd still consider buying a complete set of your Arch Studio bricks for a good price :-) It's a decent book though. It definitely kick-started and inspired my own LEGO 30-day challenge project last fall... Edited September 9, 2014 by henrysunset Quote
henrysunset Posted September 10, 2014 Author Posted September 10, 2014 (edited) I just confirmed that there has been a correction in the 2014 edition of the book as follows... The text was corrected as follows in the 2014 book: "In the Guggenheim Museum in New York, built ten years later, reinforced concrete allowed van der Rohe Frank Lloyd Wright to create new spatial experiences with curvaceous, spiraling shapes."
