<p>
	<span style="font-size:14px;">In times of peril the old Gods awaken with the wrath of nature herself. Treebukadnezar’s two eyes never sleep or tire as they watch out for intruders in the Sacred Groves. Three times the size of an Elf, these wooden giants fear neither sword nor spear. Their four arms are ready to pierce any enemy flesh or metal. Among his kin, Treebukadnezar the Branchwraith is the one to wield the power to summon the elemental energies of the Goddess herself. Channelled through his staff these energies are shaped into helpful magical creatures such as the black eagle, his favourite familiar which can be sent out for reconnaissance or other helpful tasks. </span>

							<span style="font-size:16px;"><strong>Customization Notes:</strong></span><br />
							<br />
							<span style="font-size:14px;">Needless to say this is the most complex fig I have ever made. However, it only uses official LEGO parts. Almost a purist fig.<br />
							<br />
							- Head: Atlantis sea creature head, painted and extra horns attached.<br />
							- Torso: Ninjago add-on torso stacked on a Geonosis warrios torso, painted. The lower arms can still move.<br />
							- Legs: Long Avatar legs. In older figs, I had to paint Toy Story legs, with the new Avatar ones in dark tan this is no longer necessary. So my newer Dryads look cleaner and even have moveable legs. I glued a lot of painted claws on them and the olive green 1x1 plate makes him even taller.<br />
							- Arms: Cut from leaves part, painted<br />
							- Hand: AND THIS IS SO AWESOME: The hand holding the staff is from a LEGO keychain LED flashlight. It perfectly fits around the staff. Painted.<br />
							- Bird: Painted.<br />
							- Back armor: cut and painted.</span>

	<span style="font-size:20px;"><strong>A grove of Feral Forest Splinters lead by a Timber Dryad</strong></span>
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	<span style="font-size:14px;">Soon after the male seedlings sprout they become Splinters. What they lack in the towering awe of taller Dryads they make up in scratchy-spiky playfulness. </span>
</p>

<p>
	<span style="font-size:14px;">Aspiring to become adult Timbers one day they roam the woods eager to playfully scratch-spike-impale undesired visitors. </span>
</p>

<p>
	<span style="font-size:14px;">Their greatest honor one day might be to fall into a century long slumber and wake up a  full grown Dryad Deity.</span>
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	<span style="font-size:20px;"><strong>Customization Notes:</strong></span>
</p>

<p>
	<span style="font-size:14px;">These are a pain in the megablocks to make. But the forest grows. A second deity has awakened and will reveal itself soon.</span>
</p>

<p>
	<span style="font-size:14px;"><strong>Body</strong>: I bought six Demogorgon keychains and ripped out the chains. This is a very affordable way to get many Demogorgons. So I will build six Splinters in total. I did not want the Groot bodies, because the Demogorgon bodies look more fierce and less humanoid.</span>
</p>

<p>
	<span style="font-size:14px;"><strong>Head</strong>: I bought six cheap knockoff Groots... in the wrong color. Then I bought six original Groots just for the heads. I glued on extra bits and painted some parts.</span>
</p>

<p>
	<span style="font-size:14px;"><strong>Feet</strong>: The claws are cut from the the same shoulder armor bit used on the shoulders.</span>
</p>

<p>
	<span style="font-size:14px;"><strong>Shoulders</strong>: This is a shoulder armor upside-down and painted.</span>
</p>

<p>
	<span style="font-size:14px;"><strong>Tail</strong>: This is a Brickwarriors' harpy tail, painted.</span>
</p>

<p>
	<span style="font-size:14px;"><strong>Claws</strong>: Cut and painted.</span>
</p>

<p>
	<span style="font-size:14px;">Dryads have always been a favourite project of mine, because I find them very difficult to make. Humanoid, but not human, irregular shapes and so on. I am going to redo many of the ones I already have and make some big new ones until I finally have something of a walking forest.</span>

<p>Hi everyone!</p>
<p>I've just launched a Kickstarter campaign with the goal of making custom printed minifigs, and wanted to share some of the designs we're including in the campaign (we're also offering bespoke made-to-order figures!) You can click the link in my sig for more info, here are the designs - hope you like them and I'd love to hear your thoughts! <img src="https://www.eurobricks.com/forum/storagebackend/custom-emoji/emoticons/dragons_default_laugh2.gif" alt=":grin:" /></p>

	Is there a database out there that accurately classifies legs by descriptions of what color combinations are featured?
</p>

<p>
	I am looking for a dual-molded or printed legs part where the hips and upper legs are either black or blue, and the lower parts are brown, if this even exists. Alternatively, blue and black. I am trying to make a MOC'ed minifig of the Disney character Beast.
</p>

<p>
	I tried Bricklink but it does not really display everything. Just to show my point, I typed "legs blue black" and I know that there is such legs from Oswald the Rabbit and it did not show up on BL.

	The hobby of creating and designing your own Lego minifigures seems to be a dying community within Lego. Going back 10 years or further Lego customization of minifigures was once a very popular topic where creative people would share their own work and methods of creating a minifigure unique to them or a certain theme. Yet as times go on I see less and less creative minds building unique figures but why is that? Has the detailed quality of official Lego minifigures reached a point which surpasses most enthusiasts built custom minifigures?  Or is it the aftermarket offering more choices in Lego like weapons, helmets, armor ect at an affordable price? But what are your own thoughts on this matter?

	When storing/ displaying minifigs, is it best to have them not hold accessories? I read somewhere that the minifig hands can break in the long term when holding weapons/ accessories.

<p>
	I have a huge collection of minifigs from various themes and will be displaying them in IKEA Sannahed frames (inserts have the inverted bricks glued to them as pedestals for the minifigs). Many of my Star Wars minifigs came with weapons. I really like the idea that each minifig holds the weapons/ accessories it came in the set with, but will set those aside if it would be lead to the hands cracking over time.

	At some point I noticed I did not have a regular Dark Elf archer. So I made a light, basic, not very spectacular one. Since I have to mix my own paints I am quite happy how the new batch of light blueish gray and semi-glossy turned out. The painting on the ears is not 100%, but neither is Lego's...<br /><br />

<p>
	I'm interested in selling these designs one by one, or as a set for a good price.
</p>

<p>
	I also have a bunch of other accessories designs related to the Marvel universe, as well as other custom pieces that can be printed out.
</p>

<p>
	All of my designs come as STL/OBJ files, which you can use to 3d print them using your printer, or by using a 3rd party printing services such as Shapeways.com
</p>

<p>
	The designs are precisely aligned/fitted, and will fit perfectly on the actual LEGO minifigure.

	- weapon: Aliexpress<br />
	- helmet: Aliexpress, painted, added plume, painted<br />
	- shield: two shields glued together with a new handle<br />
	- cape: Cape Madness<br /><br />
	I have been wanting to make a fighter with the slope legpiece for a long time and when finally the Jazz Singer became available for a good price I bought three of them. I am very angry that the expensive and rare goblin shield is printed off-center most times. The one shown here is the best one I have. I quite enjoy the variety of weapons on Aliexpress. Finding an armor that sits well with the cape was easy.

	Apologies if this isn't the right section for it since it's not strictly minifig related, but as this is the customization section with some resources for decals, I thought this was the most appropriate area for it.<br /><br />
	I'm working on some custom decals for a MOC. Most of it is pretty simple, flat shapes and the like. I do want to do a full cover decal for one of the <a href="https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=3384#T=C" rel="external nofollow">newer windscreen part</a>s, and I'm trying to figure out the best method for unwrapping the curves of it to get an accurate flat pattern. A less-than-exact method could be to cover the physical part in tape, trace out the edges, then remove the tape and scan that to get a somewhat accurate unwrap of the part. Not convinced it'd be accurate enough for a cut sticker to properly meet up at the edges, though. I'm currently modeling the part in CAD to derive accurate dimensions from, but it won't really help when it comes to flattening the curves themselves as I don't think there's a method to flatten the surface. As far as I can tell it's not a compound curve so there should be a geometric method to flatten it.
</p>

<p>
	From what I can tell, the curves are all constant radius in 2 axis, which is simple enough, but when the other dimension is at an angle to that flat face, is there a good method to derive the final curvature and angles from it? I was thinking of taking the CAD model into Blender and doing a UV Unwrap of the curved face in there, but there's no guarantee that it's not warped and it's very difficult to verify. I could try to figure out the resulting elliptical shape from the intersection, but my geometry skill isn't quiiiite there to figure out the exact angle of the flat sides at the tangent point.<br /><br />
	Do you guys have any tried and true methods for getting a good dieline for edge-edge decals on curved parts?

	Hey!
</p>

<p>
	I downloaded Inkscape and started making decals which went out of hand. I wa planning on just making a handful of designs and then do a testprint. But the printer we had  have given up.
</p>

<p>
	Making decals was fun though so I've probably made around 30 designs and versions by now.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	But since the printer did not work I need a printer so I can use the decal designs.
</p>

<p>
	So to my question, what to look for in a printer?
</p>

<p>
	Is Inkjet or laserjet the best for printing decals?
</p>

<p>
	I have planned to more or less only use clear decal paper.
</p>

<p>
	I've read about dpi and settings and everything. My knowledge about printers are close to zero.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	What should I be looking for when buying a printer? Is there something specific I should look into or can I just go to the store and buy the cheapest inkjet they have?
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	I'd love to hear what you have to say so I can start printing and share what I've been working on!

<p>Hi guys. As you can tell from the title I need to repair a technic figure. I have this guy:</p>
<p><img src="http://www.bricklink.com/ML/tech028.jpg?0" alt="tech028.jpg?0" /></p>
<p>And most unfortunately someone small used him a little like a doll and his left arm snapped off at the shoulder joint. Now, what happened is the pin/peg snapped clean at the point it met the arm, so the entirety of it is inside the torso with a tiny dimple left on the arm itself.</p>
<p>I noticed the peg was hollow and the arm did have a dimple, so running a small risk of limited movement I attempted my own repair.</p>
<p>Using a carefully trimmed piece of the sprue two minifig keys come on I dipped the one end of this little pin/rod into <a href="http://www.amazon.co.uk/Revell-39604-Contacta-Professional-Glue/dp/B000KJPUL0" rel="external nofollow">Revell Model Glue</a> and popped it into the hole of the pin left in the shoulder.</p>
<p>So far, so good. The glue cured and the new repair pin remained in place with normal handling. Then I trimmed it to the best length to attach the arm using the remains of the original peg. Dabbed glue into the dimple of the broken peg on the arm, placed it onto the pin and with a little masking tape to hold it in place, left the glue to cure.</p>
<p>First try, the arm came away with the tape. Second try, the arm fell off once the tape was gone. It is leaving a nice mass of glue on the tip of the pin (formed to the shape of the dimple on the arm...) I am guessing it is either not the best adhesive to use in this situation, the plastics won't bond or that there just isn't enough of the original peg left on the arm to join it right.</p>
<p>What would you suggest? I could get a different glue (I am on the hunt for some as a few action figures got mashed too. Poor Sam Flynn is now headless and my Big Duo is Last Appearance accurate!) or is it better to get the leftover peg out of the torso and put a new arm in?</p>

	Hello fellow Eurobrick members,
</p>

<p>
	After I watched the Asoka Tv series I was inspired to re-create Captain Rex in his iconic phase 1 armor using custom created graphics and waterslide decals. When it came to the design of the figure I could have taken the easy route and copied Lego design for the current phase 1 trooper however that's not me. Instead I spent time going over every detail of my refence material from the Asoka Tv series to ensure the end project meet my personal requirements. One import idea I kept in my mind when creating the design was ensuring it still kept and integrated with current Lego minifigure graphics. I would love to read your feedback and if you have any comments on how I could further improve this figure I would appreciate it so the next figure is even better.

<p>
	Customization Notes:<br />
	- hood: painted<br />
	- scarf/mask: painted, I had to cut off some parts in the back in order to make space for the quiver<br />
	- quiver: does not use a neck brace anymore, but a pin which I glued to it. the pin goes through a hole in the cape into a hollow stud which is glued to the back of the fig. I don't like archers without arrows.<br />
	- cape: I have a special hole punch to make the hole for the quiver<br />
	- bow: painted a little<br /><br />
	I have a regiment pending, in which I will vary some colours a bit. It might take a while as the paint job here is quite long. Two layers of green and one layer of semi-glossy adds up to quite some work. Some of the parts were quite expensive. But I am very glad this worked out, I like how the hood with the ears matches the wolf/fox brooch.

							Customization notes regiment:<br />
							- the bodies are cheap China Koruit clone brand Elf (although not a clone, because LEGO never made a fig like this)<br />
							- the feet were painted green to reduce the painfully high amount of pearl gold<br />
							- the helmets are a China Koruit clone brand Gondor helmet (although not a clone, because LEGO never made a helmet like this), this was painted gold and green (to reduce the painfully high amount of pearl gold)<br />
							- in order to insert LEGO hands (to reduce the painfully high amount of pearl gold), I had to widen the holes in the arms with a drill<br />
							- the Koruit spears are painted completely to reduce the painfully high amount of pearl gold<br />
							- the capes are from Cape Madness<br />
							- the standard is made from various bits and pieces<br /><br />
							Customization Notes Haldir Na Palm:<br />
							- helmet: cheap Aliexpress helmet, painted<br />
							- weapon: two Aliexpress daggers glued and painted<br />
							- shoulder armor: official LEGO piece painted<br />
							- cape from CapeMadness<br /><br />
							This stood on my shelf for a long time. It took me 4 years to get from one guard to the whole regiment, so I am glad to have finished this.

	<strong>Harpy Queen Madeira Nocturnia</strong>
</p>

<p>
	<a href="https://flic.kr/p/2prPpEk" rel="external nofollow"><img src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/53457060467_ae2b24ac30_b.jpg" class="ipsImage" alt="53457060467_ae2b24ac30_b.jpg" /></a><a href="https://flic.kr/p/2prPpEk" rel="external nofollow">Harpy Queen Madeira Nocturnia</a> by <a href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/63704134@N07/" rel="external nofollow">MWardancer</a>
</p>

<p>
	Being a Harpy used to be fun. It was all in the little things. Flapping around at night, feeding on the occasional horse, sheep or cow, tormenting the occasional peasant. And of course the annual full moon fertility festival with the ever so panicky villagers. Oh, how joyful this had been for the small, but cozy Harpy tribe. But ever since Queen Madeira had found the crown and this... thing, she was all serious and gloomy and barely left the nest. To expand the harpy race, she mumbled at night, to expand, to multiply with many eggs. The three sisters, Celeste, Triéste and Finesse did not like the sound of this. But to fly somewhere else...?
</p>

<p>
	Customization Notes:<br />
	- Crown: Nighmare King crown, painted<br />
	- legs: painted<br />
	- tail: Brickwarriors<br />
	- wings: Brickwarriors<br />
	- wand: I don't remember<br />
	- vambraces: Brickwarriors, painted<br />
	- hands: skelton hands, cut off and glued<br /><br />
	I had been wanting to make a really old harpy for a long time, but one that looked a bit different than the young sisters. When the Nightmare King was released, I finally made found the parts I had been imagining. The most interesting bit was deciding the color of the crown and the vambraces. I did not want to give her a real weapon as harpies don't use weapons, but a scepter of some sort. I like how it is mirrored in the color around her eyes. I was glas the legs mix well with the Chima "belt". Had to paint the crotch though.

	I’m working on making the Dreamzzz decals. So far I have two done. I will update this topic with lists of the current work in progress and add the various characters made.
</p>

<p>
	You can use these decals for your own use as long as you let me know or credit me please they took a long time to make.
</p>

<p>
	The links will take you Flickr where you can download them at the original size. To print them print them at 100% on sticker paper (or whatever way you print your decals) and they should fit exactly on the minifigure. If you have problems feel free to ask questions I'll do my best to help.
</p>

<p>
	Hi! This is the thread where I'll be posting my figs from time to time, glad to have you here! <img alt=":classic:" data-emoticon="" src="https://www.eurobricks.com/forum/storagebackend/custom-emoji/emoticons/default_default_classic.gif" title=":classic:" />
</p>

<p>
	I've been quite active making OC figs in the past (not so much nowadays) but I never really shared a lot of them on EB, most of them stayed on Flickr. Recently I've been compiling years worth of individual figure shots into collages, in an attempt to streamline my Flickr photostream and to also free up some space for future images. I thought now would be a good time to share them.<br /><br />

	Hello,
</p>

<p>
	Has anyone recently had success on steindrucker taking order or responding to Emails? I have known of several attempts and there is no response to email inquiries. Is he even still printing figure orders or is it the location that he is avoiding.
</p>

<p>
	I really think it would be more professional and polite to respond to email whether negative or positive for the project. I have also noticed several other print places that don't even bother to respond. A couple have which was nice.
</p>

	Is this common with no replies, I would be afraid to use Steindrucker website to order without first making contact if the project can be done and the amount of backlog before completion.

<p>Earlier i posted some pics of the Trumpeter. Here are now some of the cavalry troopers of this famous regiment. The Czapskas or hats they are wearing again i ordered from shapeways(woodys designs) and painted them and added the cords and plumes.</p>

<p>edit: It looks like my heading was too long and was cut off. It should read: "Can any of these Civil War decals from this eBay seller be attributed to someone else?"</p>
<p>Hi all, </p>
<p>Sorry I don't get to post very much...I'm crazy busy all the time it seems.  <img src="https://www.eurobricks.com/forum/storagebackend/custom-emoji/emoticons/dragons_default_sceptic.gif" alt=":sceptic:" /></p>
<p>I'm writing because I need your help. Some of you may know that I'm a big fan of doing Civil War stuff in Lego. Time to time, I search "Lego Civil War" on eBay to see what cavalry figs are going for these days.</p>
<p>Incidentally, there is a person selling "custom" Civil War Lego minifigs and models. This one really ticked me off:</p>
<p><a href="http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?VISuperSize&amp;item=120558441581" rel="external nofollow">The Custom Kit in Question</a></p>
<p>Compare that cannon, if you will, to the one I made four years ago (for my Civil War stuff no less).</p>
<p><img src="http://www.mocpages.com/user_brickshelf_resized/gallery/marak/civil-war/Cannon/cannon_1.jpg_DISPLAY.jpg" alt="cannon_1.jpg_DISPLAY.jpg" /></p>
<p>Even though hers looks ever so slightly different, you can definitely see an uncanny resemblance, and I don't think it's mere coincidence. I mean, she specializes in selling "custom" Civil War Lego stuff, so I'm sure she did google searches on "Lego Civil War." I'm pretty disheartened over the fact that my design is being ripped off and sold for profit. Sent her a message to please come up with her own cannon design and stop selling the one that looked like mine.</p>
<p>Seeing that, made me call into question whether or not the decal designs in those listings are hers. I know that she once used legofreak's. How do the decals on these minifigs look? Anything look familiar?</p>

<p>Thanks for your help!</p>

	I was wondering if anyone had some suggestions for minifig parts that could be put together for a custom Viking seer/wizard/witch?
</p>

<p>
	I am expanding the Viking Village and thought this character might be an interesting add.
</p>

<p>
	Thanks for any suggestions!
