I’ve been trying to get a clearer picture of how my collection is actually performing over time, and I’ve found spreadsheets pretty limiting.

They’re fine for tracking purchase price, but once you try to:
- keep values consistent
- calculate ROI properly
- track changes over time

…it starts to get messy quickly.

Another issue I ran into is that a lot of price references are based on listings rather than actual sold prices, which doesn’t always reflect reality.

And being based outside the US, I also found constantly converting values into my local currency pretty tedious.

Curious how others here are handling this?

Are you using spreadsheets, any specific tools, or just tracking things more casually?

	—

I ended up building a simple tool for myself to solve this (mainly using BrickLink sold data and keeping everything in one currency), but I’m more interested in how others are approaching it.

Hoping to figure that out + how they connect to an internal skeleton and then need to work through how the three corners flow into the underneath.

I've tried referencing a few Millennium Falcon and Star Destroyer MOCs that use hinged panels but I'm still hitting a wall building a structure like this in Studio. Would appreciate any help or ideas people have to share.

	Thank you.

For several years, I used this image site called photobucket because they said it would always be free (and it was until they said it no longer was).

I haven't used a site since then and I am gathering info on my options for posting my Lego Works as well as some other Hobby Works.

I know some here use Flickr, but I am not sure what their terms are.

So I checked out Imgur and it is not an easy thing to use at all and I did not like its layout.

I then checked out imagebb and it's does not appear to have a free account option.

I then checked out Postimage and it seems okay, but limited to 32MB which is kind of tight for my needs, unless I buy an account which is cheaper than ImageBB

As far as Google goes, they once had Picassa? and now they don't, and have something else.... Need I say anymore (I am not going back to every image post I ever make to update the URL)?

So I am open to other suggestions, but if someone here is using Flickr for free, I'd like to know how that is going. Otherwise, Postimage seems to be my best option but still requires buying space.

Also open to other free image hosting sites from anyone that has an active account with that site?

Thanks in advance for anyone that can share their knowledge.

Well, this has brewed in my head a couple times to create a separate topic for my other hobbies. Because brick building isin't my only hobby. And i now decided to create the long awaited other hobby topic:).

In case you didn't know. Im active cyclist my daily driver is 2023 pelago silvo which i did buy this august. My last bike was 2022 helkama tuuli e bike which i buyed in 2023 november and sold it in 2025 october. Because of my new bike. I cycle everyday since i don't own car. And i do all my shopping basically only with my cycle. And some times i do take some trips with car. But i try to be less reliant of car. And it has worked out perfectly:).

And i have rode my new bicycle around over 800km. And i do save my trips sometimes but not always. Because my usual daily trip is to the local hypermarket for buying milk and food.

And here is my saved trips:).

Yes, i have cycled a ton saved trips count is 769km but i do ride a lot more so my kilometer count is close to 800km:).

And my e bike had over 3500km on it's trip meter:).

End of last august i did cycle my longest trip 72km:).

Yesterday i cycled my second longest trip 66km:).

My yesterday's trip was north päijänne tour. And i had to end the trip early in the village of oittila. Because the wind was too much. But im still really proud of my results:).

And yes, this topic mainly focuses on my cycling adventures:).

And in case you have only visited helsinki on finland trip. My home province of central finland(keski-suomi) and my home city of Jyväskylä is really hilly. So mine cycling conditions aren't flat as on the netherlands. My cycling conditions are really hilly with ton of climbing. And nowhere to bee see a flat land;).

	Hi,

I'd like to replicate this Kuka robotic arm. I'd like it to be about 20-30 cms long when fully extended, though I'm pretty flexible on that length. It doesn't (shouldn't) be motorised, but I would like the joints to be movable if possible. I've been digging through different joint options but I just can't find anything which gets me even close to this. Picture below, and a video which gives you an idea of the joint movement is here: https://www.kuka.com/en-us/video?videoid=0928054e2e54483898d1d31ba080c43c. Anyone think this is possible? Or is this likely impossible? Thanks!

	Hi everyone,

I’ve been developing a small project called BrickVault and wanted to share it here to get some feedback from fellow collectors.

The idea is to track a LEGO collection in a more structured way — similar to a portfolio — using BrickLink market data as the basis for valuations.

	Key features:

Set valuations based on BrickLink sold listings

ROI calculated from your recorded purchase prices

Portfolio-style overview (total value, invested amount, performance)

Identification of best and worst-performing sets

 BrickLink XML import support

One of the main goals has been accuracy and clarity — for example, avoiding estimated purchase prices and clearly showing how values are derived.

The app is now in a beta-ready state, and I’d really appreciate feedback on:

whether the valuation approach feels reliable

whether the insights are actually useful in practice

any usability issues or confusing areas

If you’re interested in testing it, please email support.brickvault@gmail.com for an account and login details.

Thanks in advance — any feedback would be very helpful.

Hello everyone, today i will present my second review on eurobricks:).

In this review, I will review the Pantasy Windmill Workshop:).

(For moderators. Pantasy is a reputable company, and has many licences and original inhouse themes. Pantasy has not stolen any mocs, so I really hope this review can stay on eurobricks. Because Pantasy is not another cheap Chinese garbage company, I have allowed Pantasy sets general discussion and pantasy set reviews on this topic, so this will be the only Pantasy topic on eurobricks. I have done a ton of background research, to make sure that pantasy is a good and reputable company. I have included all useful links and pantasy links on the bottom of this review:).)

In case you didn't know. Yes, I'm a huge nerd for windturbines and windmills. So when i saw this set a couple weeks ago, so I had to buy it. And I'm really super excited to review my first Pantasy review. And I'm really excited to have my one of the all time dreamed sets, a fully working and detailed windmill:).

So take your popcorn and drinks and have a fun time reading this review:).

	Set details.

	Model name, Windmill Workshop.

	Price, 130€

(Please note. I purchased this model on amazon deutschland. So the price was 130€ with free shipping:).).

(other note. Amazon Deutschland and Us usually gives discounts for Pantasy sets. And you can get this for 115€ in amazon deutschland, or about 117$ in amazon us)

Release date 06.08.2025:). (north american date:). 08.06.2025)

Shipping time from amazon deutschland. 5 days:).

(and yes, because I was waiting/wanting this set soo much. It was really painful to wait for this to arrive(yes, im autistic and adhd person, and it has always been difficult for me to wait:/.). But the painful waiting was worth it at the end of the day, because this set is soo amazing. And it definitely delivered and lived up to my expectations. This windmill has everything what i have wanted and dreamed to have in windmill set. And it delivered even more things what i didn't even expected from a windmill set. So the pantasy windmill set will now be crowned to my most favorite set of all time. And the windmill beated my previously favorite set the 8880 which held the title for nearly over 8 years. So now going forward the pantasy windmill set will be my collection crown jewel:).).

	The box and shipping box.

The set box arrived in a typical amazon shipping box, with good protection paper.

The motor and power supply are unique to the pantasy. And unlike other chinese brands, which still uses micro usb for charging and other stuff(im looking at you cada). Pantasy has moved to usb c, yayyy. And the good things don’t stop there. Because lego has made stationary motorized builds, like the motorized light house and vestas. But those sets had one issue. Batteries. I don't know why stationary builds need batteries, because it is normally on display and constantly running. So the batteries do run out quickly, but luckily there is a pv productions, and they have for the light house an adapter, which allows the light house to be connected to a usb socket. And when I had the light house, I did use the adapter. But pantasy has fixed this problem in the windmill set. Because this power supply does not take batteries. Instead this power supply is powered via the usb c cable. So you don't need batteries. Hurrayyy. And I did find in my random electronics box an old nokia usb charger and a usb c cable:).

The model looks amazing and functions pretty well. Only hiccups can be the moving cauldron, which sometimes gets stuck(luckily very rarely if you adjust and fine tune it very carefully). And the spinning propeller gear train has an 8 tooth gear which popped out after 5 minutes of constantly spinning the propellers. But i found a good fix for it:).

(PS. I did send pantasy message about the potential issue, and I will update when i will get a response:). And also I made a post for pantasy facebook group about this issue:).)

The side panels can be slightly fragile and flimsy. And the instructions are a little bit difficult to follow, because the pieces with darker colors are a little bit hard to see where they should go. So if this is your first build. Please take time with the build, and build with a lot of patience:).

The quality with chromed gold and silver pieces is really good:).

	Aftersale support and customer service.

Well, I did include this section in the review. Because too many Chinese garbage brick companies lack customer service and aftersale support. But pantasy has not skipped this, pantasy has an active facebook group where they ask customer feedback about future sets, tell about potential issues with current sets, and pantasy do respond to customer issues and other posts regularly. And pantasy does have a free missing piece replacement program and replacement Instructions program. So if you buy a pantasy set, you are not left in the dark, if you face an issue with a pantasy set. And pantasy does also have email customer support:).

	Hi everyone,

My name is Sophia and I’m part of a small independent project called LesDiy. We work directly with MOC designers to legally license their creations and turn them into physical building block sets, with full credit and compensation to the original designers.

I’m posting here not to promote products, but to genuinely ask for feedback from the AFOL community. Many of us on the team are builders ourselves, and Eurobricks has always been a place for thoughtful discussion around MOCs, design integrity, and the future of fan creations.

Some questions we’d really appreciate your thoughts on:

What matters most to you when a MOC is turned into a retail set?

From an AFOL perspective, what would make such projects more respectful and transparent?

We’re still learning and would love to listen. If this post is inappropriate for the forum, please let me know and I’ll be happy to adjust or remove it.

Thanks for your time, and I look forward to hearing your opinions.

Here's the link to my project. I was designing this mainly for myself inspired by nany greenhouse projects I've seen over the year. I love plant based themes and with focus on playability so prefer hinge open playsets. This project turned out so elaborate that I ended submitting on Lego ideas. Any thoughts or suggestions are welcome. If you like it please consider giving it a support :)

	Hi,

I’ve been toying with an idea and wanted to see if anyone here has some experience with it.

I run an IT company, and as a big LEGO fan myself, I thought it could be really fun to use custom LEGO sets as gifts for clients or employees.

I’ve noticed there are a few suppliers offering things like this, but I’m not sure how well it actually works in practice.
Has anyone here ever made or received a LEGO set as a company gift? How did it turn out, was it worth it, did people like it, and how’s the quality?

Would love to hear your thoughts or any stories if you’ve seen this done before.

	Thanks!
Max

I'm starting the thread with my experience with the BlueBrixx open freight car in eight-wide. I bought it because it looks great and it's cheap.

The quality of the bricks is somewhere between low and medium. I had no issues with colors (only one 2x6 brick is a bit darker), but the clutch power varies greatly (sometimes too low, sometimes too high). The worst issue is the size of the plates, they are too large and warp when a second layer is added. This is how the result of the first step looks like:

The quality of the wheel sets is extremely low, the friction is too high. A heavy eight-wide car needs better wheels so that the engine can pull several cars. At least my car did not derail. Other reviewers reported that the axles are sometimes too short.

The building instructions are only available as pdf files and the model is stupidly built bottom-up. It would make more sense to add certain decoration parts last and build unstable parts as submodels.

I redesigned the bogie to accomodate HA Bricks ball bearing wheel sets and made it one stud shorter to keep two cars closer together. The instructions (which offers a better building experience than the original instructions) can be found on Rebrickable. Let me know what you think about the bogie design. I added brick-built leaf-springs that are typically seen on such cars.

Well, this December was really surprising. About a couple weeks ago I did browse Lidl's weekly catalogs and I noticed. Lidl is again producing brick sets. Well, Lidl first attempt in the brick market happened in 2019 or 2018. But it was quickly stopped. Because Lego decided suing Lidl for some pieces(if I remember correctly. I'm not a lawyer). And the sets vanished quickly from the stores. But I did buy some of them. And the sets were great. And I still do have them sealed in some closet:).

But now in 2025 lidl is again back in the business:).

Now they have released baseplates, flower sets, road plates, 10€ sets and 15€ sets:).

	Final note:).

The piece quality is excellent, no differences compared to the 2018-2019 sets and to the pantasy sets or lego. And the stickers are top notch even though they go over multiple pieces as on the 2018-2019 lineup. I truly stand for the sticker quality. It's much better quality than some premium Chinese brick brands. Lidl has truly mastered the stickers even though they cover multiple pieces. The stickers usually have a transparent background. The minifigures are okayish but not as good as the pantasy figures. Though these do have movable legs which pantasy doesn't have. And in the Forklift Truck set the hair/hat piece goes so far down that the top part of the face print is almost covered by the hat/hair piece. The instructions are good and easy to follow, no issues there. The Fire Engine only has one seat in the cabin. And the ladder superstructure looks a bit unfinished and the turntable is too loose. I think there should be more friction in the turntable. But overall I think these are good for the age demographic. And I think kids 5+ won't criticise the unfinished looks:).

And a couple days ago I went to Lidl. And a little kid said to his parent, really excited, that he saw a fire truck. So I think these will be really popular in the 5+ category. And I think adults aren’t really qualified to criticize the looks, figures or some functions of a kids toy:).

	Dear All,

after @Auroralampinen has very recently posted an excellent and very positive review of the Pantasy #85021 Steam Punk Airship set in this thread, I thought I briefly share a couple of things I did with my own copy of that set, purchased earlier this year.

As you can see in @Auroralampinen's review, all 3 propellers, as well as the fins in the back, plus a number of decorative gears, are connected through a serious drive train to one single knob on the starboard side of the ship’s body/aft upper structure. Manually turning this knob turns on everything. This location is fully compatible with installing (literally just adding and securing it with a couple of plates) a Tenka Cubit Motor Cube others here on EB as well as myself have used to motorize their MOCs/models. In the recent past, I used two of these motors to get my Pantasy #85007 Steam Punk Suspended Train moving on elevated track consisting of 5V/12V rails, see here. The motors are propelled by the Tenka Bluetooth Battery Cube, which has BL connectivity (well, as the name says ^^). As described in the above referenced 85007 thread, and particularly owing to @Asper and @Ts__, these cubes nicely hook up to an ESP32 Devkit 1 board or the like, provided the appropriate libraries are referenced in the PlatformIO plugin for Visual Studio Code. Not only one of them Cubes, but many can be addressed, if you like. In addition, the ESP32 also knows how to hook up a PUp LEGO remote (#88010) and there you go, you have two dials and 7 buttons at your disposal for remote control.

Upon turning the two BT Battery Cubes, one in the train, the other one in the airship, as well as the LEGO remote on and firing up the ESP32, all three devices connect and I can control both train and airship using the buttons. Or do some automation, as shown in the 85007 thread.

	... yeah, there always is.

In addition to propelling the propellers, I wanted to

lift the airship into the air, and then have it circling around. There is not that much free airspace in my attic (first, it has sloped walls, second all sorts of things are hanging from the ceiling: Tie fighters, propeller airplanes, X-wings, helicopters …), so the radius of that circle needed to be small. Nevertheless, a 3 kg heavy bunch of ABS bricks exerts some dragging force to the mount when pivoting around.

mount that airship to one of the two stacked glass disc insulators (4 discs) I saved from being trashed by the Deutsche Bahn years ago when they renewed the overhead lines for local trains nearby. The insulators are simply beautiful. Thick green glass, as if they were made from emeralds. All these years, both of them were sitting in my workshop in the basement, and I could not come up with something appropriate, well, until now .

This calls for making a ceiling mount for the insulator and a turntable for the airship. Well, and using another motor for turning the turntable. I selected a second Cubit Motor Cube, as then I could fuel that thing using the BT Battery Cube installed in the back section of the airship.

With regard to getting electricity to both motors: The propeller drive is easy, two female Dupont connectors + two insulated wires, as Cubic elements use Dupont style connectors to connect, it is that simple. For juicing the turntable motor from below (to prevent wires from tangling up upon multiple 360° rotations) I decided to running current through the two steel wires carrying the airship. Each is wired from the wooden mount attaching to the turntable through the airship’s roof down to the white 1x4 technic bricks (as seen in section “bag 5” of @Auroralampinen’s review), over to the adjacent side, and back through the roof to the mount. I then made a cable with one Dupont connector with 2 insulated cables and soldered the ends to the two ship-carrying steel wires. The turntable motor uses also a custom cable: Dupont connector, insulates wires, soldered to two alligator clips. The latter are just for the looks – it is more steam punky. Well, nonsense, this way it is much easier to get the airship off the hook for maintenance and stuff. Well, and it >is< more steam punky. Here are a few photographs of the ship and the mount:

The entire assembly nicely "swings", when the ship is pivoting.

Finally: Yes, I know, much more powerful turntables are readily available for purchase. But there is a strict rule implemented here: If there is a chance that I can make "a thing" from "stuff" I have available in the house, I have to use that "stuff". Upon failure, there are chances for negotiating that rule with the house authority. What was available? All sorts of scrap wooden pieces, as I do the flooring, some furniture, and other wooden construction etc. in/around the house myself. Screws, nuts, and bolts. Used IKEA curtain rod brackets. And little rollers – I simply forgot why I bought them – maybe they just looked … handy, one day. Ah, yes and LEGOssss of course. Particularly these large curved gear racks and worm drives. So here’s the plan I made before firing up the power tools (I do everything in PowerPoint/MLCad/c/p, so forgive me for the crappy "plan"):

* This view is with the top removed; the LEGO gear racks attach to the top though and are just shown for alignment purposes, see below. On the right are these mini "rollers" I bought some day for no apparent reason.

*Two rollers are not shown, because I so not know how to do that in PowerPoint. And, these were my simply my blueprints. There seem to be cold, riveted girders, nobody uses anymore ... who you gonna call?

Lastly, here is a very brief, very crappy video. I will do that again, with more finesse , leading to a just crappy video. I am simply not good at this, nor do I have the appropriate gear. Good excuses, aren’t they?

	Hello everyone,

Last year I got an idea. I decided that I wanted to make some kind of lexicon for all parts aviable in Bricklink's part catalog, and were off to a great start - a whopping 20 parts in an hour.

Anyways, today I did the maths and came to the conclusion that it would take me 12 years if I sat with it one hour a day. So now I wonder if there's anyone interested in helping, not like fulltime in any means, but just a little bit every once in a while. Then let me know!

	PS. Ask for more info!

My idea is to have it built at a fairly large scale, around 50 cm tall, using regular LEGO parts combined with some Technic elements. About the non license thing. I would not consider the lack of jeep license a pretty big thing, because in 2008 lego released the 8297, which looked really close to a jeep but without a jeep license. So I don't mind at all the lack of the official jeep license:).

Ok, I messed up the first stage. There was a special number coding to ease the build. But I did miss it completely and opened everything at once:).

Bag 4 started with a lot of rock work. Interestingly the rock work was done separately and was really difficult to construct.

The 42213 G500 and the adventura wrange looks really good together:).

Other note the nifeliz adventura wrange set, building experience did feel kind of like building my 42213 G500. There were some assemblies and techniques which were almost the same as my 42213 G500:).

	Piece quality:).

The red color is really interesting, I don't know what plastic they are using, but the red is kind of see-through. But the piece quality is really good and not a bottom of the barrel garbage, which you might expect for 60€ 2000pcs set. I'm pretty impressed by the quality of the pieces:).

And nifeliz also has some nice chrome pieces just like pantasy, and a few prints:).

	And also 2 nice prints:).

	Pros and cons:).

	+looks

 +4x4

	+instructions

	+value for money

+/- the suspension is really interesting because it does not use springs, but there are minor hiccups with this design, like this can lean to one side a little bit, but overall I'm happy that this does have some nice movement:).

+/- the piece quality is pretty good but lacking in some areas, compared to the pantasy quality 95% good. This model's piece quality is 90% good with also chrome pieces and 2 prints:).

-doing the display stand rock work was a little bit painful since they are builded separately and are really fragile without connecting to the stand:).

	Final note:).

The adventura wrange is a great model and build, with nice details, for the 60€ price you get a lot of bang for your buck. And the piece quality is above the average and not a bottom of the barrel garbage. The building experience was pretty great, though the rock work was slightly difficult to construct. The model looks really good, and since this is a 16+ display piece I would not criticize the lack of springs in the suspension system. Because you will most likely keep this in the stand. The design is unique and I will not criticize the stand because it does not inflate the price. If this was a lego model you would pay like 80€ for the offroader and 80€ for the stand in total 160€. So because this model stand isn't inflating the price, I can accept its inclusion in the model, and I think it will add a lot of display value:).

The instructions were clear enough, but the miss alignment wheels in the instructions were a little bit annoying. But the wheels came with the correct orientation:).

While the model is black on the inside the instructions were clear enough. But the stand needs a lot more attention due the black on black design:).

And bonus points for the nice introduction at the beginning of the manual. It does settle the mood really high when you start to build this. And overall I think a lot of care was put into the instructions:).

But overall I'm really happy with this set. The price is excellent and the model looks great with the stand:).

	Final verdict:).

	Value 5/5

	Building experience 4/5

	Pieces 4/5

	Instructions 4.5/5

	Looks 5/5

	Functions 4/5

Do I recommend this set? :).

Honestly yes, this price is great and unheard for a 2000pcs high quality display toy, the piece quality was mostly good, about 4-5 pieces were not good but still usable. But the pieces aren’t the bottom of the barrel junk which you might be expecting at this price:).

The 16+ age rating might seem a little bit silly, but trust me this is not a beginner build. The chassis is black without too much color vomit, and the stand is black inside so pay a lot of attention when building this:).

But, this is a 2024 model, and this is almost sold out on amazon deutschland so have a great time hunting this set on sale:).

Ps, i found this set one night when I was browsing amazon deutschland for fun:).

And this set stood out for me, so now i had an opportunity to buy it:).

I thought at first, ok, this is a cool 800pcs set similar to the 42213:).

But no, I was totally wrong when I purchased this set. I saw the piece count was 1993;).

Folks, I know, this will be not well received in this forum.

	How-ever.

I just watched Thomas' (Panke) Video on MK's set 16052 "City Rail Car". Man. €90 for this set is insanely cheap.

Not the point: The battery box (rechargeable, of course) has remote access - and, because it is fun ... a motor in it!!! I see this box as driving unit for sooo many trains. Yes, we need to check on torque etc., sure, but hey, what an idea (at least for me).

In addition to this box (check original price for TLG's #8878), you get a remote ^^ - and just to mention it, about 1500 pieces of ABS. Larger pieces, that is.

	For those interested (in German):

There may be other reviews in English as well, just throw them in here.

Bricks are from GoBricks (which swiftly approach TLG quality).

I have the feeling that the MK folks will constantly come up with other cool stuff as this "battery box" is - thus this thread.

Hi all! I've never done a review here nor is this real LEGO, but I thought these were a cool find and I'd like to share them with you. I'll be doing semi-reviews of two of the Batman sets from the TRiO building system. I apologize in advance for any poor images, the bad backdrop, and if this is in the wrong section.

I've been after the LEGO Batman sets for a while after missing out on them in 2006-2008. However, as many of you know, the prices have skyrocketed on eBay and I could only afford to get some of my favorite Minifigures from the line. Then a few weeks before Christmas I was walking through the Lego aisle in TRU and a display filled with these sets caught my eye. Out of curiosity (and the want for lower prices-TRU raises the prices on these too) I went to Target and they had the sets as well. I picked up Mr. Freeze to save for Christmas, but he got me hooked! In case these sets might interest anyone else, here's a good, unbiased(I hope) look at these two sets.

The Boxes

As you can see, the two boxes are very different. The Joker's box is roughly the size of a $20 LEGO and slightly deeper, showing the main model and a cartoon version of The Joker, along with the TRiO and Fisher-Price logos. The Joker was also packaged like an action figure (plastic bubble glued to cardback) in the lower left corner.

Batman & The Riddler's box is slightly taller and skinnier than a $6.99 LEGO. It is simply a window box with a cardboard backing on the inside. This comes in handy for inspecting the paint apps on the figures, which I'll get to later.

The back of the boxes both show the rest of the TRiO DC Super Friends line, with Batman & Riddler's box also featuring the smaller wave 2.

The Figures

These figures are neatly stylized. Their details are also remarkably nice for toys geared at very young children. I like how they included Batman's muscles on his body print.

He also features a cloth cape. Their only faults are the paint apps and their near lack of articulation. The former is only a slight problem, as I've only seem one or two figures with messy body paint apps. The latter is not a major problem, but the arms are the only articulated parts of these figures.

However, they also feature the amazing ability to hold LEGO Minifigure accessories and weapons!

Personally, this is my favorite part of the figures since they come with no weapons of their own (another downside ).

The TRiO figures are also somewhat in scale with LEGO Minifigures. While most can't be used side-by-side, some characters from the TRiO line, such as Mr. Freeze and heavy duty/flight suit Batman could probably be used with Minifigures, as they are bulky characters to begin with.

Now I'm going to talk about aspects of each set individually for the sake of organization.

The Joker-bot

The Build

The instructions included with the Joker-bot are quite similar to those of LEGO sets, showing step-by-step processes for the mech and having pictures of 3 inspirational models in the back, the latter being something I found pretty neat.

The actual build is very simple, but somewhat interesting. The cubed blocks snap together very easily and are pretty sturdy, but the tubes/rods require a fair amount of force to get them into the cubes. I can imagine that part of the build requiring parental assistance. My only other gripe is that the legs can't be moved, but as I mostly just display my sets this isn't a real problem.

The set also comes with several extra pieces intended for use in building the other three models: an extra nozzle, a normal black cube, two purple double-sided slope pieces(I modified the back of my mech with one of them), a claw, a silver rod, and a purple rotating piece (intended for use with the Jokercopter alternate model). I made a laughing gas turrent out of the pieces seen above.

Playability

The Joker-bot is a cool vehicle for the Clown Prince of Crime.

Like the figures, it is also limited in the poseability area. However, both of the arms can be moved up/down and side to side at the elbow. The left arm features a laughing gas cannon and the right arm features a giant hammer that'll come in handy for squashing Bats.

While not entire visible in this picture, the front of the cockpit also features a maniacal grin; very fitting for Joker.

Another neat play feature of the Joker-bot is the hidden TV screen that can be flipped down from under the mech's "jaw." It reminds me a lot of how Joker would communicate with Batman in the Arkham Aslyum game, if anyone's familiar with it. This is also a detailed piece, as it features the "fuzzy lines" you see on some TV screens.

Joker also fits snugly into the cockpit of his mech, though it takes a slight bit of force to get him all the way in. It should also be noted that

Minifigures can sit in TRiO cockpits. I also like the decals on the side of the cockpit that appear to be a nod to "Mr. J!" Another plus in the TRiO line is that while they use stickers instead of prints on the pieces, all stickers are pre-applied. The workers/machines that apply these stickers do a great job at it too.

Batman & The Riddler

The Build

Obviously very simple; no instructions were included. Just snap the Bat-signal together and you're done!

Playability

What you see is what you get here. There are no real "play" functions in this set except for the figures themselves. However, the Bat-signal is a very nice touch, something I don't think was even made in the LEGO line. The random green block included could also be used as a "throne" for The Riddler, I suppose.

It should also be noted that for some reason DC wanted a copyright symbol printed on the back right leg of every figure. While an annoyance, this can be overlooked for the most part.

Closing Remarks

You really have to see these sets in person to make a final judgement, but I would reccommend them to any LEGO Batman fan. If they aren't quite your style, they would also be a great way to introduce kids to the concept of building toys. Just watch out for those rod pieces.

I also own the Mr. Freeze vehicle, Robin's Jet, and The Penguin's Umbrella Cannon, so please let me know if you have any questions on these sets or the TRiO DC line in general.

*NOTE: If you're considering getting any of these sets, looking in Target or Wal-Mart is a good idea. My local Wal-Mart has the whole DC line 50% off with their after Christmas sale, along with a lot of LEGOs. Also, so far I've only seen the Batman/Riddler set at TRU.

Once again, if there are any questions, comments, or concerns I'm happy to answer them. Thanks for your time!

So this isn't really a MOC, though I did modify the set as there were some faulty bits in the instructions. This is a set review/overview and letting you all know about this cool value.

When Amazon was having their Prime Day, this random Pirate set showed in my feed and looked real cool. Not proper Lego, but an alternative. I'm no snob and it looked to have great parts in it (IF the brick quality is good). Spent the $26 on it to take the bullet for you all. Thankfully I can repet that other than the light brick being a worthless addition and minor instruction problems, its a winner. Its very good quality and a lot of fun.

I did a video review if you want to see it in full action and all the various modularity, options.

the rope from the crows nest to the deck was too short so I had to modify the mast to be shorter and use a single 1x4 brown brick from outside the set. I also changed how the mast for the small ship worked. And of course, all Lego minifigure are my own from outside, though the set did come with a classic red parrot, a crab, a seagull and a classic monkey in light nougat color. The set has some connections points with the dock and jail/crowsnest being removable to out in different spots and the main shack unfolding to spread out abd give access. The set is pretty sturdy, very playable, and it makes a good display if your too adult to goof with your sets after you build em. It scratched an itch I hadn't had scratched with a "new" set in a long time.

I was really bummed out I had no funds to preorder that Tortuga Bricklink set, but for $310 less this makes a great budget alternative. I highly recommend picking one up. But check out my video if you like. I took tons of photos, but I cant get them to upload because it says they are too big even though they are small files.

Here's the link I copied from Amazon. It seems to have left the sale for $26 and is now $30. But that's still a good deal

After finding out that Webrick no longer sells Gobricks parts, I've been on the lookout for alternative websites. So far, I've come across is wobrick.com, which seems to be a partner of Gobricks. I noticed some recent Reddit posts where people mentioned purchasing from there (https://www.reddit.com/r/lepin/comments/15y5gmo/unboxing_my_gobricks_mocs_from_wobrick/). Has anyone else here bought from Wobrick or found other reliable sources for Gobricks parts? Please share your experiences and suggestions.

	Thanks in advance!

I have previously made sure that all the motors work. I am wondering if this "Trade war" with the USA is the problem?

If you're on the lookout for a budget-friendly Technic-style car build, the ANKO Mini Blocks Racing Car might just catch your eye. While it doesn’t hold up to LEGO Technic standards in terms of functionality and part quality, it still delivers a satisfying build experience and a good-looking display model for a fraction of the cost.

	👍 Good Points

	💰 Price
One of the biggest selling points of this set is its price. At less than half the cost of a comparable LEGO Technic set, it's a tempting option for budget-conscious builders or those just wanting something new to assemble.

	🧱 Enjoyable Building Process
The 39-page, 107-step instruction booklet provides a mostly intuitive and enjoyable building experience. The way the car comes together feels thought-out and engaging, with enough variation to keep things interesting.

	🏎️ Looks Great on Display
Visually, this car is a winner from a distance. On a shelf, it easily passes for a LEGO Technic model, thanks to its slick blue-and-black colour scheme and sporty design.

	🛠️ Solid Construction
Once completed, the car feels surprisingly robust. Unlike some budget sets, there’s no worry about parts falling off when you pick it up or move it around.

	👎 Bad Points

	🚫 No Technic Functions
This is where the model falls flat for Technic enthusiasts. There’s no steering, no suspension, no fake engine, no gearing—just doors that open and wheels that roll. If you're after any mechanical features, you'll be disappointed.

	⚙️ Lower Parts Quality
The plastic feels cheaper than LEGO’s. Some parts required a lot more force to connect, especially axles into 3L pins with stoppers. There's a noticeable lack of refinement in the tolerances of the parts.

	📖 Instruction Confusion
Though mostly clear, there are moments of frustration. For example:

One sticker was easy to miss, only discovered at the end.

One early step led to using the wrong part, which had to be disassembled later.

Some parts are hard to distinguish in diagrams, especially black vs. dark grey or similarly shaped pieces.

	🧾 Final Verdict

If you're buying this expecting LEGO quality—you’ll be disappointed. But if you go in knowing what it is—a budget Technic-style build with no moving features but a nice look—you'll find it a fun, if flawed, experience.

I love Lego, but I've got too much here, and at this stage of life, I'm just not into having large accumulations of stuff -- except books! I don't have a precise number, but I've got about 200,000+ parts and a few dozen sets I've built and taken apart. It's all stored away in plastic bins, carefully sorted by part type, etc., and it's just not doing me any good.

	So it's gotta go.

There are several things I'm keeping, as I do still love Lego. I just don't love having all this stuff I'm never going to use. I was never much for MOCs, anyway.

But how in the world would I go about selling that volume of Lego? I don't want to open a BrickLink store; I'm a professor and writer, so I need MORE time, not less. Everything's ready to be hauled out, I just don't know how to find someone to do the hauling (after paying for it). I live in South Korea, too, and there's not a large secondary market.

If push comes to shove, I will put it out with the recycling. Again, I love this stuff, but there's no point keeping things around merely for the sake of possessing them. That's just not my style. Most of this stuff, I should never have bought in the first place! :D

This is kinda a technical question, but it is LEGO related...

I'm not sure if any of you have tried the 'Wayback Machine' on the Internet Web Archive, but I have been trying to access archived LEGO webpages of the time of my childhood.

One error I'm facing, for say the year 2000:

"No cookie."
"To access this site your browser must be accepting cookies."

It would be really sad if pages such as this were lost forever and inaccessible. Would anyone know of a possible solution to access these webpages? Perhaps Internet Archive could change some webpage code so that such cookies weren't required?

Hey everyone! I’ve been into town building ever since I started building, but I’m starting to feel like I want to try out Technic. I’m totally new to it though, and all the moving parts are a bit overwhelming. Any suggestions on any simple model I could start with?

Hello, I am looking for the instructions for the free set: Yoda Holocron Chambers, I find only one instruction online but it is wrong, the colors and pieces do not match. I also wrote to Lego but they say they do not have these instructions. Can anyone help me? Thanks!

Hello, the ldd file of the lego technic MAN lion city bus from dgustafsson13 were free to download on a app called brixtar, but unfortunately this app doesn't exist anymore. Is somebody out there that maybe downloaded those files and is able to send them to me? I would really appreciate that.

I'm for all intents and purposes an exclusive Lego guy, but recently I've found myself watching some channels on Youtube that do reviews of all those military sets, and finally I caved in and decided to try Cobi - it's another European brand, manufactured in Poland after all, so I thought it might be nice to check out what it looks like in its modern iteration. I think I had some Cobi set in the mid to late 90s that mimicked Lego City and then had those parts mixed into my Lego without noticing (until I made the purge, anyway), but I've heard that in recent years Cobi have drastically improved not only their designs, but also their brick quality.

So the set I bought was the Challenger tank (2627). So far, I've put together the first bag, here are my impressions:

The bricks look fine, there are very minor occasional mold defects in hidden areas that don't affect the brick's look or functionality. There is something off that I can't quite put my finger on when it terms to clutch - the bricks give off kind of a rubbery feel when being put together (hell, they feel rubbery, period!), also sometimes they're really tough to connect, as if the tolerances were too tight or something. You feel like the bricks are struggling against you when you try to put them together. I'm pretty sure the tank's floor which I put together first, in fact bent upwards when the SNOT connections were first made, as if the bricks were stressed while they shouldn't be if their dimensions were perfectly calculated. After some time the bend eased and it's straight again, but it did get me worried for a moment. I know it may have something to do with the density - their models are very spacially dense in small parts compared to Lego's (which some describe as a "model-like" quality). Overall, I definitely prefer building with Lego, that much I can already say. Also, the grip that pins have on bars seems to be loose and wobbly, to the point of feeling unreliable.

That would be all the gripes I have though. Other points of interest and observations (except for the obvious stuff everyone knows, such as that they only use prints and no stickers):

- Cobi is very Technic-minimal, in fact probably the single brand least eager to engage in Technic stuff. Almost feels like it's a point of honor or something - kinda like Lego steadfastly refusing to do any military sets, Cobi refuse to involve any Technic elements. I think they had to finally cave in their biggest tank models where the tread wheels were put on Technic axles, but that's about all Technic you'll ever see from these guys. I do suppose that limits them quite a bit, compared to brands such as Cada who happily use and mix both part families liberally.

- The tank is 11 studs wide, and Cobi appears to favor odd width models. To that end, there is a lot more odd-length bricks (such as 1x7) and plates (1x5 to 2x7) that are regularly used than I've ever seen with Lego. AFAIK, the latest odd-length plate Lego introduced was the 1x5 in 2021 - in Cobi you see this stuff all the time, including two-by plates, as I mentioned. There are overall plenty of exotic plate dimensions such as 3x4, 4x5 and more. Gotta say, pretty neat.

- This is by now common knowledge, but Cobi are probably the market leaders in stud reversal techniques at the moment. They feature tons of brackets and plates with side studs - most of which Lego does have, but it's in fact because Lego has been catching up on Cobi's own catalogue. There are still many interesting piece families that Lego doesn't carry, such as the super thin plates with reverse studs (same width as the thin part of brackets), which are very useful for putting together high-density constructions with studs in multiple directions), plates with studs on both sides etc (although I haven't found any such in the model as of yet), and even 1x1 bricks which are hollow on both sides. What's really cool though are plates with studs on the side without the addition of a bracket, which lets you do more compact SNOT stuff. And the coolest thing are definitely the insertable single studs, which you can put into plates to completely reverse a build. There are also 1/4 parts of the circular plate (Cobi's equivalent to Lego's 4032) - you can put 3 of them into a round cylinder thingy (like fuel tanks), and the empty part can be left for an attachment point, which lets you preserve the circular shape of the whole thing, don't think Lego has something like this either, and it might be neat.

	- They have a wider than Lego family of jumper plates, such as 2x2 tapering into 1x2 in the middle and many more, plus a significant number of plates with only part of the studs they should normally have. That makes it a breeze to shift between even and odd at the drop of a hat, pretty nifty stuff.

	- They have tons upon tons of differently angled (and even truncated) sloped tiles, many of which make flush surfaces very easily. They carry some angles Lego doesn't feature at the moment.

- There is a number of miscellaneous bricks that resemble Lego's, but are just slightly different, such as the 1x2 plates with indented slopes, 4 of which are used here for the engine base - these seem like they could be a really useful addition for Lego too. There are also hinged headlights built of 3 pieces which the tank uses - something Lego doesn't really need, but quite creative nonetheless. Likewise, there are decorative tiles with a mesh pattern that Lego doesn't have, and a 2x2 version of the grille plate (superfluous).

So overall - I do not regret this purchase, and am enjoying the build so far, but I think I'll be sticking with Lego in the future, regardless. The SNOT-heavy building process is very engaging and satisfying and the model is very sturdy, but there is very little inherent rebuildability and the feel of the bricks and the difficulty of putting them togheter turns me off a bit. What I'm really rooting for is for Lego to keep introducing the SNOT and stud reversal-centered solutions Cobi is so dominant in, as well as some other miscellaneous elements, as they have been slowly doing already, to extend the system in ways where competing brands such as Cobi no longer have any sort of edge over them.

One of our kitty cats went missing for a few days recently, leading me to look at some air tags or similar tech for tracking them.

I'm looking for something small and accurate but there are lots of choices all seemingly very similar. Does anyone have experience of the various types? Currently an Android household but willing to pick up a cheap old iPhone if needed...

Any help in keeping my kitties safe appreciated

Older Than Dirt!

Lately I have noticed a number of "senior citizen" aged AFOL's. In the USA, AARP (American Association for Retired People) defines a "senior citizen" as over 50.

On Eurobricks it seems to me that the majority of AFOL's are between 20 to at most 40 maybe mostly 30-something. Some younger, some older.

I have also noticed a number who (like me) seem a little older, maybe 50-70. Eurobricks has a title/badge to recognize our ladies, how about some recognition for us seniors?

If you' re "older than dirt" stand up and tell us who you are.

I'll go first...

Hi, I'm Andy and I'm older than dirt! (68, much dirt here!)

And I still enjoy building with LEGO!

There I've said it, I feel better, whew, big load off my shoulders.
