Diesel 4828

I can't believe I forgot to post my last train build on Eurobricks, so it's a bit late, but hope you enjoy my efforts to recreate the 4828 Diesel along with Maitland coal hoppers. This was part of the SydLUG Trains AMRA layout (Australian Model Railway Association)

as well as the inspiration shot for the diesel.

Delightful 'ISC'......as perfect as you can make it out of Lego......gives me inspiration for something Aussie for the train show I'm invited to. :classic:

Good to see some 'down under' MOCs. I particularly like the hopper wagons as they look very similar to ones that were used here in New Zealand.

Thanks for taking a look and commenting guys/gals.

Very nice. I love the yellow head nose. Is it motorized?

It is motorized, and I learnt that I should have not covered the sensor as it only responded from certain directions. (Rookie train builder mistake  )

Where do you put the battery box and the receiver?

The receiver is in the cabin whilst the battery box is at the back behind the 1x6 tiles.

Those hopper cars are really good, I like good old wagons like these, they are the staple of so many railways but often get overlooked for more famous passenger trains.
