jFox Posted December 1, 2012 Hey everyone, Wanted to share a few custom elves that I made a while ago. Based on this post by fred67: http://www.eurobrick...showtopic=56573 I used the werewolf hair piece and some yellow nail polish on the ears. Then I tried to mix and match some heads and body parts and came up with some decent results. I'd love to see what other people have come up with as well, so feel free to make suggestions or share your elves as well! Standard archer/soldier. Using an old samurai head turned out really well with the angled eyebrows and headband. I like the cape over the quiver a bit better, as it doesn't crease the cape. My guardsmen (and captain), using the old dwarf helmets and the conquistador armor. An elven priestess, with One Ring bracers and a staff from BrickForge. Also a custom cape from MMCB. Elven assassin and the spymaster. Scouts with leather armor from the S6 Highlander body, and Aztec heads. Swordsman and cavalier, using some BrickForge items. Generals. Even though the black-armored one on the right feels a little less elvish, he looks tougher.
Cutcobra Posted December 1, 2012 The figs look really good. I think the ones you made best were the Priestess and the scouts with leather armor :D.
Jareth Posted December 4, 2012 I really like these elves. This is what I really like to see in this forum. I have to know. Did you come up with the bracelets independantly, or did you copy my bullywugs
jFox Posted December 4, 2012 Jareth, hadn't seen that picture of your bullywugs until today. I first came up with the bracers idea with some minotaurs I made a little while ago: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=73034. Your bullywugs are pretty cool. I like the alien heads, never thought about using them in a fantasy setting before. Turns out they're a good fit.
Wardancer Posted December 4, 2012 Well done! I especially like the idea with the samurai head.

AmperZand Posted December 4, 2012 (edited) I like your priestess, jFox. You wanted to see other elf minifigs. Here's mine from some time before the CMF elf: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/AmperZand/Fantasy/lego-elf-impulse-moc2.jpg Non-LEGO parts by BrickForge. Fantu Posted December 7, 2012 (edited) I´m working on an Elven Kingdom for myself and i´ve got a few custom elves on my army. Edited December 7, 2012 by Fantu
Wardancer Posted December 7, 2012 Fantu, what an awesome idea with the atlantis helmets. I am going to use that and give credit to you. This is a customizers spirit: if it doesn't fit, cut it off. See the elf in everything and cut off everything non-elf!
Lynxer Posted December 17, 2012 Great stuff! Wish I had some of those in my collection.
Timmay Posted December 17, 2012 Awesome elves! I especially like the use of the Samurai head. That's a great looking elf. Great work! I've been toying with the idea of doing the same using LOTR/Hobbit piece, painting the flesh ears yellow. Hadn't thought of using nail polish. You've inspired me to finally build the elf army I've always wanted.
