LDD 11A
Hello everyone!

Always when I was looking at my official Lego Black Pearl I got the feeling that I need to rework and change it... although it's a cute ship in some way. I made a MOC of the Black Pearl and used the basic design of the official set but tried to make it more accurate and detailed. I used the official set as the base so that it wouldn't look completely out of place alongside the BB or the IFS. Until now there are only screenshots of the LDD availble but I will start the work on the real thing as soon as I have the pieces. The current piece count is 970.

EDIT: I made Comparison-images of the LDD-models of my MOC/MOD and the set before it was modified:

Thank you for sharing!

So, exactly what have you done to make your version more accurate and detailed?

Changes involve:
- curved shape of the ship
- new stern design / new design of the galleries
- new prow and improoved headrails, authentic positioning of the figurehead
- a simple deck has been added to the side of the ship (similar to the BSB)
- correct positioning of the mizzen mast

Please compare the original to the pictures above. For the original ship see at http://www.geekalert...ack-pearl-4184/

It's hard to make close-up shots with LDD of the particlar sections. I'll give you closer pictures when the real thing is finished

Awesome!

It would be good to get a side by side comparison of your version and the official version from the same angle - if such a thing is possible.

Yep, that's a great improvement, this picture shows a great shape, especially the cabin, it goes with the flow (curve) of the ship very well.

Thank's for all replies. I built the original BP-set with LDD and made comparison-shots. I edited them in my first post.

Which program have you used to generate the terrain?

That's a background in LDD
