The battle now turns very much in the heroes' favor. In a most likely never seen before streak of luck, all of the heroes manage to critically hit and hurt their foes. The two Vikings stand heavily wounded and bleeding, but they refuse to give up. Death in combat is the only honorary end for these men.

Victory for the heroes was within a grasp. Only one enemy was still standing, heavily wounded. All three heroes charged at the lone warrior, but it was Lycan who slew him, with a mighty hew from his blade. The mighty berserker fell down on his knees and then on the ground. "Eviga ... riket ...", were the last things he murmured before he let out his last gasp. The room was now silent and the lone remaining Viking eyed the heroes carefully.

THIS BATTLE IS VICTORIOUS !

The young Viking stepped closer to the party. He cautiously eyed his dead kin and scanned his surroundings. The man then adressed the party.

"Thanks for your assistance, strangers, I am in your debt. Those guys were going to gut me for sure! My name is Arn, by the way. Who are you people?"

"They tried to kill me because I didn't want to break the contract. See, we all got hired for this certain job. Our contractors would lure the package to this cave and all we had to do was take care of it. However, things went awry when the Viking mercenaries found out the prey was a Vampire. "I appreciate the help. As I've said, I came here as part of a mercenary force consisting out of Nords in search of battle and Werewolfs in search of blood. With the Bonapartes tightening their grip on the Seas, raiding gets harder and us Vikings need to seek other lines of employ to come by."

Lycan raises his sword and charges through the passage, going back to where they were before here, and heads into the other path.

The heroes raced back through the halls of the cave and continued along the other path. In a large cavern, they found a large coffin. Several stone humanoid statues dotted the otherwise empty room. Cautiously the party opened the lid of the coffin. Much to their surprise, they found Dr. Cula resting inside. Tied and kept secure with silver chains, the Vampire had been awaiting his execution, but then all hell had broken lose.

Quickly, the heroes freed the renowed alchemist from his prison. Doctor Cula looked terrible, but no doubt he had been in worse situations. There was, however, so trace of the good doctor's assistent or of any of those belonging to the Oroborus organization.

Disappointed the heroes returned to the guildhall. Their heads were filled with questions. What is Oroborus, why were they involved with Vikings and werewolves and most of all: what did they want with Dr. Cula and his assistent?

THE QUEST IS PUT TO STOP !

• The heroes are paid a sum of 450 gold to split (added to party leader's inventory, please divide in the Hall). This is a recompensation for the lost items during the quest, plus a reward for "finding" back Dr. Cula (which means half of the Quest's goal is completed).
  
• In addition, the current party members will have an advantage when it comes to being selected to a possible follow-up quest (which won't be anywhere in the near future, though)
