Hello everyone! As I mentioned over in the LOTR discussion thread, I just recently got Helm's Deep. As soon as I finished building the set, I started MODing it. Here are a few pictures of what I have so far, and what I plan on doing.

So, here is a wide shot of what I have so far.

http://www.brickshel...TR/img_3588.jpg

Here is a view from the back (yes, I made a pen for some animals   ).

Here is the Hall where Theoden is getting some advice and counsel.

Posted Image

At the back here, I plan on buying and adding four more Uruk-hai Army wall sections. There is exactly 16 studs from the connection bit on the inner wall and the edge of the baseplate, which is the exact length of one Uruk-hai Army wall. What I plan on doing is building one normally, but instead of finishing the top, I will continue building it with the pieces from the second set.

Posted Image

For the wall section on the left side, I plan on MODing a door in, so it will be in this general area.

Posted Image

Then, to fill the gap between the back of the tower, I made this little rock bit. It may not be very movie accurate, but it works. Also, the hobbits are having a nice feast.

Posted Image

These three trees, which might have been spotted in the first pic, are place holders for three more Uruk-hai Army sections I need to finish the Deeping Wall.

Posted Image

Then, I have built my own version of the big archway section that sits behind the inner wall. I plan on somehow connecting it to the four wall bits that will be made to extend the inner wall, so it will look something like this (sorry, I didn't notice that the gate was in focus rather than the archway bit before it was too late).

Posted Image

And finally, here are a few pics of my current army of Evil, which will grow quite a bit after I am done with my addictions and changes to Helm's Deep.

Looks good!  But you're far from 10,000 Uruk-Hai!

I believe a hearty "WOW!" is appropriate here. Loving the changes.

The only alteration I would suggest is to mod the additional Uruk-Hai extensions so that they are flat, without that "bump-out".

So it better resembles this:

I'd love to see someone actually get 10,000 Uruks. No, by the end of my project I should have 48 Uruks, along with my two goblins, two Nazgul, and the Troll.

I would do that, but I don't have the pieces, and it just isn't that much of a concern for me.

Fair enough, just a suggestion. Doesn't diminish the coolness one bit. Carry on, sir!

I have a feeling it will look great, but I don't have all the funds for the 8 more Uruk-hai Army sets I need. It may not be done for another month.

I'll be modding a Helm's Deep set like this, too. If only I can keep my kids' from helping with their pink and white "Friends" pieces and minidolls..

Looks good! I enjoy seeing mods of Helms Deep! With your (growing) Orc army, could you make the Black Gates of Mordor?

I think raising the rock base of the main gate to 4 or even 5 bricks tall would be nice. But maybe it's just me.

That's ok. Cause I won't get the set until it goes to the shelves of a store (e.g. Walmart, Target).

I would, but I don't enough black pieces to do it justice. Also, since my whole army will be (minus the two goblins, the troll, and the Nazgul) made up of Isengard Uruks, so it wouldn't be fitting.

I plan on making the battle of helms deep using stopmotion. I like the way your making the breaching wall. Also love the custom rocks and hobbits. Great job!

I love what you have done so far, it looks much more movie accurate already.  Have you made any updates since?  I can't wait to see the finished product
