This started off as just a little diorama to force myself into experimenting with some new techniques (the tree branchs, waterfall technique, water color diffusion and slope rock formations), but turned into to something else entirely when BrickDoctor offered to photo-edit for me. Based off The Lay of Luthien by JRR Tolkien.

Beautiful MOC! I would add some detail on the grass, though, to make it seem more realistic. Other than that, the minifigures are great, and so is the waterfall!

Nice waterfall  :thumbup:  I have also been trying out some landscaping lately.

As soon as I saw this, I though "Lay of Luthien", you captured the feel of it perfectly!

That Luthien minifig is excellent, nice use of ice skater accessories.
