OOC: My crossbowmen B are shown as doing nothing, even though they moved north to the forest.  You seem to have moved the Knights B instead of Crossbowmen B. :wink:

"Allright, Imperial Pikemen, follow Pikemen C, wherever they go.  Isabella, I suggest splitting your force as you go around that mountain, my pikemen will back you up.  Crossbowmen, head north again, you'll be able to snipe any remaining enemy pikemen from that hilltop."

Oops, my bad. I'll update that.

Knights B were supposed to move one hex north. They defeated Cultist Picket A in melee battle, so, naturally, they've gained control of the hex. (I'm pretty sure that that's standard in all strategy games, but since I didn't specify that earlier, I can move them back if Dharkan chooses so)

OOC: Ah, I see.  No arguments from me, it actually makes most strategy situations slightly easier.

Also, should we be posting a Battle Order for which troops attack/move first? :blush:  If so, my Crossbowmen will move before my pikemen this turn (as if it matters in this case :tongue: ).

QM Note:
You can if you want to, otherwise I'm having them attack in whatever order makes more sense to me. (by HP, then by type - ranged, then mounted, then foot) I'm trying to keep this as simple as possible.

"Er--you mean NorthWest, right?  Your troops can't move Northeast, the mountains and my troops are in the way. :wink:  If you're wanting to aid Alexandre and Skrall, they can handle the enemy on their own, it is better to split up and keep exploring.  I'd suggest moving your troops NorthWest, but moving your pikemen North around the mountain."

OoC: Last turn the Imperial Pikemen A should have advanced 1 hex northwest instead of attacking the Picket Force that way they wouldn't lose so many of their numbers as they just did.

Arthur studiously evaulates the tactical situation in an attempt to keep things clear in everyones' minds.

OOC: OK, so to summarize our actions as stated:

Lion Knights B: Attack Lady Leofwena
Lion Knights B: Move "west" (Northwest, perhaps?)
Lion Pikemen D: Move Northwest
Lion Pikemen C: Move Northwest
Lion Crossbowmen A: Attack Cultist Picket Force B
Imperial Pikemen A: Move Southwest (error in last round, they were stated to move instead of attacking last round in order to avoid taking damage)
Imperial Pikemen B: Move North
Lion Crossbowmen B: Attack Cultist Picket Force B (hilltop position)

"Isabella, quickly!  Have Pikemen C attack Lady Leofwena and your Knights move north and attack her.  If you do that and move Pikemen D North, you can keep her pinned down until the reinforcements arrive.  Master Skrall, if your Imperial Pikemen move Southwest this turn, and then move Northwest next turn, we'll be able to surround her.  Imperial Pikemen, one hex North!  Crossbowmen, one hex Northwest!  Alexandre, your Pikemen should head SouthWest around the mountain, and your Knights should head directly South.  If we do this, we can keep her busy with melee units while our crossbowmen move into position and nail her from afar."

OOC: I figured it was something like that; I was mainly hoping that listing the actions for you would save you some work when you did have time to get on. :wink:

Also, I just realized I now have a legitimate excuse to stalk you. :grin: :laugh:

Skrall watched as the Knights' strikes glanced off of Lady Leofwena's armor. He turned to the Imperials under his command, "Did anyone remember to bring the nets or any grapplin' hooks?"

OoC: Is there a reason Imperial Pikemen A have a power increase?

"Do you think that one of my Scrolls might help?  Blindness or Confusion, perhaps?"

OOC: I think it's not right, I think it was from flanking the enemy last turn, and should be reverted. :wink:

QM Note:
Yeah, it was a Flanking bonus that I forgot to remove.

The mention of grappling hooks was just a reference to
Empire. It's not actually the way to win the battle. Lady Leofwena's Defense is set high so that you have to get good rolls and position your troops for optimum bonuses in order to defeat her.
