Finally available.
and not a moment too soon, just last night I made a replica of 7770 using some of the "Old AquaRaiders" parts (a green version) :-D
Going to place my order now at lunch break...
Actually, some of those Protoype pics look kinda nicer than the final versions...
7771 proto has a bigger sub instead of a silly rock
7770 proto has a crab... which is more interesting to me than another treasure chest

There's absolutely no need to make this thread personal. So keep it down or I'll close it >:-(
anyway, since we already have the actual sets in a US shop, it's clearly a mistake by Lego. Don't tell me that's a too farfetched theory... :-|

People sure are strange sometimes...
Anyway, it figures, I'd really like to order them now, but I can wait a little longer ;-)

"a giant squid is on the attack! With posable tentacles and a skeleton in its transparent belly, this sea monster will be tough for the Aquabase crew to beat."
Thats actually pretty clever
Basically the squid's body is made of those large curved windscreen pieces, and it has a skeleton in it's stomach.
Reminds me of the old Ogel Mutant Squid AT set... tho in that case the stomach was the cockpit for a robot squid...

I OWN the sets. Do any of you own them?
I have seen the sets in the offical Lego Store. Have you seen them? Have you held the boxes?
The sets are prototypes, they have messed up the pictures and the text before in set profiles. It's not that big of a deal, just realize the base is different and the two small sets look like what I have.
BDD is right. I went to the lego store and bought the Big Blue Fish set. It's wierd to have prototypes appear after they have been sold in a store. *wacko*

i like some of the preliminary designs. the base was certainly much better. it had a covered walkway to the landing pod. although the prelim sub was crap. as for the minifigs, i like the final version better than prelim version. the giant squid in the base set is also very nice. the base set looks decent enough to buy. will probably get it for my kid. :-P the harpoon turret is stupid though. why would you put it on top of the base?
the other sets aren't really that appealing. btw, did anyone notice that the skeleton inside the squid was a previous AR member? it has the group's helmet.

I wast just looking at 7774 Crab Crusher. The yellow sub measures 10.5 inches/26 cm. Finally, Lego offers us a large yellow adventure sub in mini-fig scale! The picture is rather deceiving as it looks much shorter. The price is a little high, but nice sub. I can't wait to see some pic reviews of these other sets.
20,000 Leagues Under the Sea here I come!

I like the mini sub that goes down the covered ramp thing, never noticed it, very nice.
He bought the big sub, I can't wait to see the inside.

WOW!
The inside is awesome! I thought Lego would just stick the guy in with a computer and a wrench / joystick thing. very nice.
*Adds to list for when Lego Store has double stamps again.*
