Hello all,
i managed to get my hands on a 7470 Space Shuttle Discovery-STS-31 and decided to share some pictures on this set as well as some comparison shots of the 10213 space shuttle set. Sorry if my photos are amateurish.
Should you require reference or the review on 10213, please check out dr_spock's review.
Enjoy!
This is the front of the 7470 space shuttle. It has a more blocky but has a more solid look.

Side view of the 7470 space shuttle. Not so spectacular due to the holes...

Back view of the 7470 space shuttle

Bottom view of the 7470 space shuttle, The yellow technic parts are used to lower the front and back landing gears.

This is the shuttle's cockpit. while 1 minifig can fit inside, it wont be secure.

Shuttle's cargo area, Satellite and deploying arm of shuttle

Without the satellite. Sorry i can't take a photo with the satellite on the arm as i am missing some technic parts :( . Note the rubber bands used for the landing gears

The shuttle's tail is moveable (left and right)
Comparing 10213's Satellite and 7470's Satellite

10213 and 7470 front shot - Some how having a windscreen pieces looks much better than slopes

10213 and 7470 side shot

10213 and 7470 side shot 2

10213 and 7470 top view - Aligning them from the back engine, 7470 is longer

10213 and 7470 back view - the 7470 smaller engines are held with technic bricks so they are more sturdy.

Fun shot 10213, 7470 , 6544, 6339 shuttle.

Building the 7470 was fun however maybe slightly challenging if you are not a technic person, took about 2 hrs to finish building it. Comparing this with 10213, i think the 7470 shuttle has the look and feel of the real shuttle. If you like space shuttles and have the chance to grab hold of this shuttle for a decent price, do get it as well as it is well worth it. :)
