Now that I see the new templates, I can't wait to play. I will make time for it today. You should also make templates for Mecha One's unnamed mec.

Wow, I didn't think that you would make a gate. I never thought of it. And maybe you should make 2007 templates, you know, for people like me who have them.

Don't worry. I'll be getting all of the 07 sets.

I'll also make a template for Sentai Fortress.

Actually it will be divided into several templates. Front Gate, Med-Bay, Control-Tower, Mech-Bay and the different wall sections.

Templates for the glider will also be added.

Templates for the promotionals will also be added. I'm having a hard time finding the robot promotional though...

And finally. People can get their MOCs transformed into Exo-Dice templates complete with Point Cost and everything... (see the MOC section on the web-site for samples)

Venom One added: http://www.123hjemme...92042?i=6160830

You will have to take a better picture. Place a large piece of white paper against a wall. Make sure the paper curves against the wall so you don't get any disturbing lines. Then place your model on the paper and take the picture. It makes a huge difference.

Note: Mobile Defence Tank template edited. Sepperate Ryo template for the MBT added.

Other things in the making:

Add-on Cards:
Command(Meca One): Ability to move more than one unit pr. activation.
Sonic Attack(Sonic Phantom): Attack that reduces ATTACK and DEFENCE on the target.
Sonic Immunity(Silent Strike): Ability that negates Sonic Attack.

EDIT: Templates for COMMAND and SONIC ATTACK are added.

Excellent.

Post the pictures (or send them to me) and I'll make a template. A small description of weapons, armour, speed and flight capability would be very helpfull.

exo-champ - i saw your rules... here are some suggestions:

i think that the robot mechs should not be cheaper point-wise compared to the human mechs. we know they are of similar power and the only advantage humans have over the robots is that they are "intelligent". as meca one said it best "we have superior technology...failure does not compute" :-P

it is hard to organize "intelligence" especially when the controlling person is not AI in nature. :-P  to enforce the "intelligence" ruling, the robot mechs should have a routine attack/defend sequence. eg, always attack at 0 heat point, always attack when in range, etc. so the robot player mostly determine the walk path (ie macro strategy rather than the micro strategy - when to attack, etc).

@Natelite:

I can easily follow your reasoning, but to me the E-F robots are not the typical AI.

They show emotion like fear and self preservation. Devastators are also described as cunning and able to stage ambush attacks.

The robot machine actually costs about the same as a their human counterparts. Not more than 10 - 20 points in difference and many are armoured alike. The Fire Vulture and Stealth Hunter, the Thunder Fury and Grand Titan. We know that the Stealth Hunter is a little faster than the Fire Vulture, but properbly couldn't outfly a Sonic Phantom. Hence the speeds: FV: 7, SH: 8, SP: 9...

The real difference comes with the superior human abilities and skills.

I wanted the game to reflect Humans vs Robots in a 1:2 ratio (for a balanced game). So far play tests show that the forces are balanced around that number and my point system is working.

On another note. It's not very funny to play AI in a realistic manner. Sometimes you have to saccrifice realism for gameplay and strategy.

All right, the new pics are up on the contest entries forum. They are a tad bit out of focus because of resizing, but you will still get a clear image. Hope you like it. ;-)

Great to know. I've been on a vacation for these last couple of days but I took a little time off to use the internet on my laptop. BTW: Who made the Poison Terror? That mecha is just fascinating. I don't remember ever seeing it on this forum.

I also decided to give you a description of the armor and stuff.
Armor: The armor that guards the cockpit is only penetrable by the Sonic Phantom missles but otherwise is indestructable. The rest of the armor is as strong as the Venom One's and the Thunder Fury's armor in the places they are used.
Weaponry: The energy grenade is powerful and has a little duo gun on the bottom and a handgun on the top. The claw can give very strong punches by extending in and out. There is a shield that protects it, but it doesn't shoot. There is also the heat seeking missile and a gatling missle as well. Man, the template for this will be huge with all the weapons. ;-)
Flight Capability and Speed: The Thunder Titan uses the Supernova jets so the speed is equal to the Supernova's. It also has great maneuvering skills, though not as great as Silent Strike or White Lightning.

There, hope that helped a bit.

RULES CLARIFICATION:

I've had a few questions regarding the turn sequence of the game.

What can a unit do when it's activated:

1) Mech is activated

2) If the players wishes to move it he does so. He may not pre-measure.

3) The player may attack if he has a weapon that does not make his heat level rise above 6.

4) The player nominates which weapon he's going to use for his first attack and allocates how many attack dice he's going to use. You can option to use as little as 1 Attack dice or as much as all of your attack dice for one attack. It's up to you (A Thunder Fury could option to use either 1, 2 or 3 attack dice for one attack - if it wasn't damaged).

5) Measure distance to target. If the distance is too long the attack and attack dice are wasted, but you still add the Heat for the weapon.

6) If the range is good. Roll the allocated number of attack dice (modified by cover etc.). You must score at least 2 succeses to hit a target (If you score less the target doesn't even have to use Defence dice to avoid the shot).

7) Defender allocates number of Defence dice and rolls them (modified by flight etc.). If DEFENCE equals or beats ATTACK, the attack is avoided.

8) If the DEFENCE roll is lower than the ATTACK roll the shot hits.

9) Roll the full amount of damage for the weapon.

10 Defender subtracts his Exo-Shield(ES) form the total damage. The rest is crossed off on the Damage boxes on the Exo-Sheet (starting with the black ones).

11) Attacker goes through step 3-10 until he runs out of Attack dice or his Heat level is too high. He may attack with the same weapon several times (or until it runs out of ammo: rockets, missiles).

12)Enemy activates unit (go to step one).

The Sonic Attack does no damage to the target. Instead it makes the attacker vulnerable to other attacks. Hit your opponent with a Sonic Attack and he looses 3 ATTACK and 3 DEFENCE until his next activation. Even a blind Iron Drone in a second-hand Sentry could hit the target now...

Hope this helps. I'm sorry if it's a bit unclear..

@dill: The Supernova doesn't fly. Do you mean Silent Strike?

Most of the equipment will maybe be best for add-on cards (shield f.ex.)

It's actually not a good idea to have millions of guns in Exo-Dice. Better to have a varied asortment for different ranges and functions.

You have a little of everything so I think it will be fine. Your pilot will receive ATTACK 1, DEFENCE 1 and a skill with max. 2 boxes (only the "real" Exo-Force has higher stats).

How could the Suoernova not fly? It has jets on the sides of the legs and a bunch of wings as well. If you are positive it doesn't fly, make the speed a little slower than Silent Strike's. Oh, and you don't have to add the shield. I just made it for defense, and it has nothing to do with battle. And you could maybe do what you did with the MDT and the SV, by adding Attack 1 for one arm, attack two for the other and fit the gatling missile somewhere too. That would probaoly be easier than creating add ons. Just do it anyway you want.

Apparently the "wings" are solar panels (or so I've been told).

I'll count the shield as additional armour. No problem.

Only multi-crew BMs get sepperate ATTACK values.
