"Oh of course, being careful is very important. The only client I have in Eubric right now is Began Drakes. He notified me that a small group from Heroica would be coming to pick up a package for him and that they would have the receipt as proof."

Tesni smiled, "Excellent, here" she handed of the reciept from the bag.

He walks over to a large chest at the end of the bed,unlocks and opens it. After searching through for a moment he pulls out a packaged wrapped in plain parchment and tied up with a string.

Taking the receipt from Tesni and handing her the package, he gives a wily grin.

"Well, I guess that settles it then. I'll be glad to get out of this place, I've customers waiting in much cleaner places. I'll tell you something, no extra charge, don't stay here. I've already had things go missing from my room, luckily the thieves couldn't get into the chest because it's protected by magic. This whole town is rotten with criminals." With that he shuts and locks the chest.

"Is there anything else I can do for you? I'm very good at locating items if you are in need of something special."

As soon as the party had entered the pub, Eric headed directly towards the bar. Unlike his companion Namyrra, he didn't pose any questions and ordered some beer and a dish of food. Ha remained at the bar as his questmates went upstairs with some white-haired guy. If there'd be any problem he was sure he'd hear it.

Eric received his food and drink. Still no sign of danger. He licked his lips and started to eat. The food was bad and the beer was stale, but it was better than questing on an empty stomach all the time. He hoped his party members would find something interesting in the meantime.

Sorry for my absence guys. I was at a music festival with no internet connection the last few days. But now I'm back .

The party heads back downstairs, nobody has come or gone in the short amount of time they were upstairs. They find Eric sitting at a table eating and drinking, he hardly takes any notice of them as they sit down at the table. Tesni pulls out the scroll tube, wondering where they are to go next. That's when she notices the name and address engraved on it's side.

Eric eyed the white-haired man suspiciously as he passed by his table. Then he noticed Tesni and Namyrra had taken a seat at his table and turned his attention to them.

"Did you find what we came for?" he asked while taking another sip of his beer.

"Yes, we did. And I think spending the night here would be nice, would love to sleep in a proper bed for once."

[Darkdragon]

The barman's wife suddenly shows up next to the table.

"I'm sorry to interrupt, but I was sweeping and thought I overheard someone saying you'd like a room for the night? We have small rooms for one person and we have large rooms that could fit all of you. How many beds will you need? The cost is 2 gold per bed, per night."

[Quarryman]

"Well, unless any of the others object I'd say we'll take one large room with four beds, and we'll only stay one night, we have to be on our way to Kelram tomorrow. You wouldn't happen to be able to tell us how to get there would you?"

[Darkdragon]

"I'm happy to hear you will be staying with us tonight. Four beds, that will be 8 gold for the night. I'll show you to your room, if you will follow me."

She leads the party up the stairs, they recognize the hallway where "Johan" led them earlier.

"Kelram, yes I know that area. Very nice place, wealthy folks there, lots of work for those with the right talents." She glances at Eric. "It's not far, a day's walk from here down the main road. You all should have no problem getting there by supper time I'd think."

They walk past many closed doors and finally at the end of the hall she stops and unlocks the door.

"Here we are then. Leave this key with me when you leave tomorrow, please do your best to not damage anything." She smiles and hands Namyrra the key to the room, then leaves the party and heads back down the hallway.

Eric the Nord scanned the room as he stepped in.
"Looks good enough for me" he muttered. "I hope no-one comes knocking on our door tonight. I hate to be disturbed in my sleep." he said as a grin formed on his face.

He sat on one of the lower beds and placed his trusted sword Godricsleif next to him. Cold icy fogs were being emitted from the blade. It almost seemed as if the blade craved for a nightly encounter. Which is silly, of course, for swords are not sentient.

"I can't wait to get Kelram. I wonder what the woman meant with 'the right talents for the job' " Eric pondered as he stared in the distance.

I should also have an Amethyst in my inventory

"Well, I for one am ready to go to bed, some sleep sounds great. How about you Tesni, are you coming?"

"Ooh, fancy beds! Lets all get some sleep shall we?"

As the sun sets, the party members lay down for the night. The old scratchy blankets and lumpy pillows might be uncomfortable for some, but for these intrepid adventurers, it's a welcome relief from sleeping on the hard ground. In a few minutes they are all sleeping soundly. So soundly, in fact, that they don't hear the light squeak of the lock tumbler clicking, the whine of the hinges, or the soft scraping of leather soled shoes on the floor.

"The bag, I saw him put it in the bag."

"It's empty, they must have put the boxes somewhere else. Check that other bag."

"Nothing but potions and junk in here, look for yourself."

"Umm, guys, these are people from Heroica..we really shouldn't be talking. We might waken them."

As a bottle of mead falls out of the bag and rolls accross the floor, hitting a bedpost, Eric jumps out of bed, sword in hand.

"Too late!" Eric yells at the intruders.

At the shout Tesni rose like a vengful goddess. Taking up Cysgodion she struck out at the Thiefmaster from the front row. "Party! Awaken and attak these thieves! Maurice, you hold off that masked one from the back row!"

Eric's eyes widened as he noticed the broken bottle of mead and its delicious contents spilled on the floor. He threw an angry look at the assailants and gritted his teeth. He uncorked one of his own Mead bottles and chugged down its contents, together with some Smelling Salts.

The giant Nord warrior swung Godricsleif around and roared Norse curses at his enemies. Even though none of the thieves could make it what they meant, it was clear Eric meant business.

Eric takes Mead and Smelling Salts.

"Filthy thieves!" Namyrra chugs down some smelling salts and prepares to cast a Darkness spell at the Reptilian from the back row

Tesni starts in on the bashing with a clean swing on the Thiefmaster. Namyrra and Eric get busy drinking some delicious smelling salts.

"You said we wouldn't be fighting them. This was not part of the deal!", exclaims the Masked Woman. Just before she jumps out the window and disapears into the night, Maurice hears a muffled cry from behind the mask. "I'm sorry friends."

Namyrra is full of energy but lacking concentration as the Reptilian bops her on the head with his staff while she tries to conjour up a spell. Eric is still thirsty so he drinks a Mead before joining the fight. Being totally ignored, the Tough Guy swings his Spiked Club at Tesni for a solid hit.

As Tesni swings, the Thiefmaster give sharp whistle and ducks out of the way. Moments later the party can see another thief heading through the window towards them. Namyrra uses the powers of darkness to summon a great winged Daemon to fight alongside her. Eric swings, but the Tough Guy charges him and headbuts him onto the floor. Maurice gets caught up in the confusion and misses his target. Namyrra tries to conjour another spell but the Reptilian manages to smack her again with his staff before she can do anything to him. Lying stunned on the floor, Eric is unable to do anything even with the mead coursing through is viens.
