Farnheim Posted March 9, 2012 Posted March 9, 2012 Hello everyone, today I want to show you a creation I did a while back. Inspired by this set back in 2008, I wanted to recreate a more classical 4-wide one. But not one with a box body but rather with a canvas cover. Hope you like it. Thanks for risking a look and of course for comments... Cheers, Farnheim Quote
The Fezter Posted March 9, 2012 Posted March 9, 2012 Very nice design of the truck. Love the inclusion of the spare tire underneath it =) It does look a bit tall but I guess it's more because of the fact it's 4 wide, whereas 6 wide would fit the height proportions. Still a lovely looking thing . Quote
lightningtiger Posted March 9, 2012 Posted March 9, 2012 Excellent 4 wide truck and trailer combo 'Farnheim' ! How about a fuel tanker in the same way eh ? Brick On in 4 wide 'Farnheim' ! Quote
The Blue Brick Posted March 9, 2012 Posted March 9, 2012 I really love this 4 wide creation. The front of the cab is just wonderful. The trailers are excellent too. Quote
L@go Posted March 9, 2012 Posted March 9, 2012 (edited) Vehicles in this style bring back good memories :) - as always, a well-built vehicle presented in an impeccable way. Edited March 9, 2012 by L@go Quote
LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted March 10, 2012 Posted March 10, 2012 WOW great truck! This is my favorite era for lego vehicles, when all the cars were 4 studs wide doing justice to trains 6 studs wide! Quote
Redhead1982 Posted March 10, 2012 Posted March 10, 2012 This is a really sweet old-school truck and trailer. The spare tyre is an extra detail worth looking for. If I am not mistaken, you even used some old wheels, right? Well done. Quote
JackJonespaw Posted March 10, 2012 Posted March 10, 2012 Looks great! I love the use of the grilles on the top! Quote
Lego Man Can Posted March 10, 2012 Posted March 10, 2012 Now, normally I'm not a great fan of 4-wide, but this is just amazing and I just had to have a closer look since it was based on the Forklift & Truck (which unfortunately I didn't get... ) Buy anyway, that looks great! Quote
Ecclesiastes Posted March 11, 2012 Posted March 11, 2012 I love it! It does have that classic feeling but with just a bit more details! Quote
Farnheim Posted March 12, 2012 Author Posted March 12, 2012 Thank you all for the kind comments. I really appreciate it. @ redhead: Yep, I used those old wheels for that, which I predominantly put on my MOCs. @ lightning tiger: Well, I have one. But not with a trailer. It's a little fuel oil tank truck: Quote
BrickBox Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 Great creations Farnheim, I think I like the tank truck even better than your trailer. It's amazing how many details you put into your 4wide vehicles. It always strikes me a bit unexpected, because I remember the 4wide vehicles from the 80s/90s to be rather plain. Quote
LEGO Guy Bri Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 More lovely trucks, 'Farnheim'! Somehow I missed the one above, but am glad you posted the shell truck. They look great, I love the color choice on the haul truck and you can't go wrong with Shell. Keep them coming Quote
4xMore Posted March 13, 2012 Posted March 13, 2012 I am amazed of all the details, but my favourite feature is the green and black and gray colour palette of the assembly. Quote
