Themes you regret not getting

I regret not collecting the original adventurer sets.
I also wish I had started collecting the harry potter series when they were released, but alas, I was not a HP fan till I was quite a bit older, and the hp series was already quite a ways in.
I also wish I had jumped on the modular buildings as they came out. Now I have to figure out how to convince my wife to let me spend an ungodly amount on Legos. heh.
What sets and themes do YOU wish you got when you had the chance?

Agreed. I do wish I had snagged the original batman sets, especially the arkham asylum and the scarecrow set. =(
Its sad that the hp sets will be coming to an end, really one of the better themes ever! Maybe it will continue on like the star wars sets have?

By the time I started getting back into Lego, it was already long gone.

When I turned 16 my grandparents told me they wouldn't buy me anymore LEGOS. That was a good six years ago though, maybe they've forgotten and I can start adding them to my Christmas lists again. ^-^

I never had Lego (or other toys) as a child, but when my son was 3, I started collecting Lego for him. That was 20 years ago. We both still enjoy Lego today!
I regret not getting the pink Duplo 4966 dollhouse and the blue Duplo 9225 playhouse when they came out about 5 years ago. Luckily I found both used for Christmas presents to me last December! They are my favorite Lego sets.
Besides Duplo sets, usually I just collect minfigs and turn them into flesh colored females. And lots of pastel bricks for building houses. So I don't really miss many sets that are no longer sold. I learned years ago to buy what you really like when it is available. That is why I just bought most of the Friends sets.

I REALLY want those Anubis warriors. And the sets have a lot of pieces useful for my builds.
Well your in luck with Pharaohs Quest as they are still on shelf's so you haven't missed out on this one. You could still get some on sale to help out your wallet.
I collect the Star wars like and I would have like to get the first 8 years worth of sets. I want Cloud city but Im not going to pay minimum $500 second hand when people where getting these on sale $50 at the Target clearance back in 2004
I also like the castle/fantasy era, Western, Indiana Jones, Batman witch I missed out on. I want the Dinosaurs theme. Those Nubian guards from Pharaohs Quest are good as well and I want them.
I try to buy cheap bulk lots and I have acquired some minifigs and sets from these themes but alot are missing parts, are in well played with condition and usually no instructions.

I totally would buy whats left on the shelves. But I am between jobs and just paid my bills. I wanna grab a few hp sets before they're gone, but I also wanna grab the grand emporium before its discontinued. I only have so much money at the moment and I don't know where to put it! =/
The PQ Magnets are on sale at Shop at home for super cheap. You can remove the Nubian warrior, and its a lot cheaper than $10 a fig on bricklink and ebay.

Don't know if you're aware of this or not but whilst you can detach the figures from the magnets, it's not as easy as just taking the figure off of studs like you would if it was standing on normal bricks. The figures are now glued to the magnets and as such you need to use a special method of removing them - and you're not guaranteed perfect results.

Ah yes, I am aware of that.
I read some tutorials on it. I probably pick up a set and try if its worth it
