I don't know about everywhere else, but my walmart has a plentiful supply of these. any idea why they are selling so well on ebay right now?

Unfortunately I only want the set FOR the figs.
I've seen cat woman with her bike going for about the same.

What do you think the reasoning is for people spending so much on sets? I know the fun house is a little hard to find, but I've still seen a decent amount of them at stores.

True that, but these sets just came out! They'll be around for at least another 6 months at least.

I could understand as soon as the sets start disappearing or even April, but January?

Saw another seller getting £20(each) for Two face and black batman. Absolutely mental!

Luckily I live in a pretty small town, so they don't go QUITE as fast. I'll prolly swing by this week and grab a few more before its to late. I just need to figure out where to snag teh fun house though... =/

Plus how do Ebayers get away with describing an item as Brand new unopened when you have to go into the set, open the bags and assemble the figure?

They get away with listing it as that because it is obvious it is not in the original packaging and means the same thing as "Opened and pulled out of package" to anyone whom thinks about it for a second.

Not entirely sure who are the buyers paying these extortionate prices and if they are as informed as they might be. I know the Catwoman and Superman sets are appealing to those who like to split up sets due to their low price v figure ratio but Lego shop still has them as do most online stockists.
I do understand the pricing going on with the Funhouse and its related figures as the set will be gold dust in the aftermarket
