Two days ago the r/AFOL subreddit was launched on Reddit.com.  We want to create a reddit community that is more in tune with the AFOLs than r/lego.

Reddit is a great place to get MOCs noticed beyond the AFOL community at large.  My best explanation of what is like is public days at Brickworldor BrickCon.  For the most part, it's not a crowd that sees a lot beyond what LEGO produces as sets but there is a lot of enthusiasm for LEGO and original LEGO creations.

It's really difficult to do a side-by-side comparison of Reddit to EB or Flickr since it's a very different site.
