Tremonian Knights

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

I want to show you my first Minifig Customization.

I always liked the black falcons the most when i was young. and i thought they were knights of my hometown. :P

so i thought it might be a good idea to make those "Tremonian" Knights.

comments are very welcome.

the guy to the left is my "sandbox". i try custom headgear and amor on him.

Update 2011-12-12:

Looks great. I especially like the guy next to the crossbow guy.

Now where are you going to post your decals? I'd like to try that torso if that's okay.

Looks good. The images are a bit grainy though. You might consider getting a better camera because you can't see the colours as well as they could be, but the knights look really cool

thank you. =)

the problem is that i use my mobile for taking pictures.

another thing is that my printer´s color is nearly empty, so everything looks less colourful compared to the pngs.

will post some updates when i have boughed new cartridge for my printer (this time with camera and not with mobile :P)

These look very real because they use the German Bundesadler as logo. I especially like the big ovoid shield with the partial eagle.

actually it´s the Coat of arms of Dortmund.

compare Bundesadler to Dortmunder Adler

both are eagles but i prefer the one of Dortmund :P

Inspired by frogstudio´s Black Falcons 2012 i´ve tried to make my own version of the Black Falcons basing on my previous work.

TremoniaBlackEagles.jpg

I´ve made 2 sets (dark blue and yellow) for both Torsos and 3 sets of shields (oval, round, triangular each in yellow and dark blue).

would be nice to get some comments and maybe some tips how i can make them look better or what kind of details are missing.

They look great, I can't give really much tips because I am a brand newb to the trade but question. are they clear coated when you took that picture because they look a little matte/ not shiny.

the stickers i use are matte. i have some puzzle-glue at home that makes it look more shiny.

but since i´m pretty new to this stuff i don´t want to use that glue until i´m pleased with my decals.

thanks

Nice these are good customsdefault_thumbup.gif, I like the eagle it makes them look a lot more authentic in my opinion and the colour scheme goes well too.

It's always good living in Europe because you can get ideas off your local towns and history, keep up the good work.default_classic.gif

Seems like we both hail from the same city! :classic: I don't live there anymore, though. Nice decals and minifigs, looks like you put a lot of work into those!
