What can the haunted mansion be then? A modular? Exclusive? Wow, I imagine there are going to be some "ghost" minifigs there (as in human form, like the typical fancy lady with short hair and robes)

:cry_happy:

We already know Haunted mansion will be Exclusive set. It was visible in one of the Lego videos on their Youtube, but then they eddited it. No worries! Here is the picture: http://farm8.staticf...f3c7aeb58_z.jpg

Thanks, I'd never taken a good long look at that building until now. It really is interesting.

I'm not sure whether it'll be part of the Monster Hunters line or the modular building line. It looks like a more difficult build than most of the Monster Hunters sets, but it also doesn't fit with the other modulars. Maybe it'll be in the Monster Hunters line as a 14+ (16+?) set.

The Haunted House could be a set similar to the Joust or the Imperial Flagship or other cases of d2c or really large sets being made for specific themes.

Sweet! I saw your similar posts on the LOTR and Ninjago 2012 topics and I was hoping this would be next!

EDIT: Even though there's still nothing for Canada.  :sceptic:

Sweet that TRU has them, but I'll wait until Walmart or Lego themselves get them, as I'm not a fan of TRU's mark-up.

After finally being able to see a good, zoomed in pic of the ghost train...

 I love it even more! Now I have to decide between the Ghost Train and Graveyard...

Here are some direct links to the hi-res images on the TRU site for those like me who can't stand those tiny, useless zoom windows:

The Mummy

The Werewolf

The Vampyre Hearse

On that note, is it just me or are the set names extremely boring?

Couldn't they at least have called them something like "Attack of the Swamp Creature", "The Mummy's Chariot" and "The Werewolf's Ambush"?

I like the official names. They remind me of classic horror movies, especially when they're using names like 'Wolfman' and 'Swamp Creature'. :classic:

Since there is a $10 off for purchases of $50 or more, the ghost train is $5 below MSRP and the castle is at MSRP.

Was there anybody already?

Yeah, I get that, especially since they put THE in every title, but it still kind of sounds boring. A more exciting name would probably be more appealing to kids, although here in Europe they don't put the set names on the boxes anyway so it doesn't matter.

Thanks, you just completely made all the Monster Fighters sets (except maybe Vampyre Castle) must-buys for me. There goes trying not to spend too much money!

I am absolutely in love with the castle! The aesthetics are so gothic and richly detailed. The figs are great, too. I've never owned a LEGO castle before so I'm excited to make this my first! It does seem pretty early for these sets to start showing up in stores, but hey, I'm not complaining.

I like the ghost train, but I don't think I like it enough to spend $80 on it. A couple of other sets, like the mummy, don't appeal to me much either. It's just as well, my budget for LEGO this year has already been shot to hell.

Funny, I feel the exact opposite.

The Vampyre Castle is the only must-buy for me, though I'm also interested in the mad scientist's laboratory set and I might get The Vampyre Hearse just because it'd be cool to have it with the castle.

Thanks for the images! Do you have any for the other three sets, perhaps? That'd be a huge help!

I, too, am only planning on purchasing the Castle. I do really appreciate the sets, and I do wish I could own them all; unfortunately, nothing else is compelling enough for me to want to spend money on it. I was originally planning on buying multiples of the Mummy set for the horse and the lady, but the images provided me with an excellent visual of her torso, which I was hoping would be less modern. Alas, perhaps I'll pick up some of the swamp creatures later.

Sorry but these sets don't do much for me. The Monster Fighters look ridiculous with their cyborg limbs and with a few exceptions, the monsters themselves are nothing special. Why didn't they go for a "Hammer horror" vibe with monster hunters actually looking like they fit in with the gothic horror mode? I don't understand how all the cybernetics come into it.

Maybe kids will love 'em but there's not much here I like. Perhaps I'll feel differently once I see the actual sets.
