The stuntman will have both a helmet and a hairpiece in the bag. Sometimes you can feel that.

So, feeling for the cape isn't handy?
Thanks a lot :classic:

Sort of, but don't rely on it, it could easily be Little Red or the Bride.

Well, I think that finding the cape is hard to do, since it is such a thin part of the packet, so I found the helmet, and knew automatically. Also, keep in mind, the bride's cape is probably out of it, since it feels so flimsy, so if you find a cape that is harder to bend, then feel for the length.

My feel guide:

Viking: feel for the triangular piece that serves as her dress. Once you've found that, look for the shield to make sure it's not the bride.
Bride: feel for the dress too, but then make sure that it doesn't have any parts that the Viking has: shield, horned helmet.
Galaxy patrol: this one is easy. The shoulder pads are a big piece and easy to find. To double-check, find the helmet (it has an opening below for the neck and one in front to see out of)
Aztec: easy too. Feel for the gigantic eagle headpiece, and to double-check, feel for the spear (the point is twisty)
Grandma visitor: feel for the legs, which don't move. The basket is easy to find too.
Swimmer: try to find the medal
Bunny: try to find his hat, which has two ears sticking out of it
Daredevil: feel for the helmet, which is kind of similar to the galaxy patrol's. To make sure it isn't the galaxy patrol, make sure the helmet is more smooth. You could also try to find the cape.
Ocean king: the trident has three points, and can be identified easily. The tail is easier to find, it's curvy, and is a big-ish piece.
Jungle boy: feel for the monkey (mainly the monkey's arm, which is outstretched)
Bagpiper: this one is tricky, but try to feel the bagpipe, which is round-ish with the pipes sticking out of it. His hat can also be identified by the knob on top.
Tennis ace: easy! Racket! (the racket has a flat round end and a long handle)
Hippie: feel for the long hair and the flower stalk, which has three stems.
Nerd: look for the flat laptop computer, or the round mug with a handle that sticks out.
Evil knight: look for the long sword, or the big oval shield.
Punk rocker: the guitar is the key. It has a Triangular end, which comes out in two halves. I can't really describe it, but you'll know when you've found it.
Newest CMF minifigure: S8 Santa :)

If it's anything like the hawaian girl from series 3, it's really complicated; you have to bend it in several directions and get the holes stuck in just right and then if you let it go before you've got the torso put on, it might come flying out!
Actually, I had more trouble turning the Space Marine's head around. . .

Wow, I'm really glad I read your post as I hadn't even realized that 'Hawaiian Girl' had a grass skirt!  Luckily I'd saved the packages so I was able to go back and retrieve it. She didn't look odd in her green bikini bottoms, she's in Hawaii after all and the lifeguard was similarly attired (well, if memory serves she has a one piece but it looks the same towards the bottom).

That's something that irks me a bit about these CMFs, to my knowledge there doesn't seem to be a resource that tells you exactly what's in each packet and how it's supposed to look.  Perhaps Lugnet, I dunno?  If someone could clue me in I'd appreciate it.  It's tough to get an overall picture from the stylized figures on Lego.com and Brickset.  For example, the mummy drawing doesn't reveal that a scorpion is included.  The identical (for the series) papers that they include with each figure aren't a great help either.  For example, for the Space Warrior in series 7 the paper doesn't show his helmet on the parts side (I looked because I wanted to see if I was missing a visor).

When I first read about the CMFs the article said that there was a card in each packet to go along with the figure, I imagined something along the lines of the cards included in PotC. THAT would have been easy for LEGO to have done and REALLY COOL besides.

If you are buying the minifigs from the box, there are pictures of them on it, which can be really helpful. If that option isn't available, you could look up the figs you need in WhiteFang's reviews, and write down the parts that can be easily identifiable.

In one of the stores in here, the clerks are kindly using the dot system to identify each bag's figure and write down the name of the figure in the bag. Then charge you 3.14 USD for each bag and you don't have to guess anymore.

I feel lucky.

At the store where I buy them, they identifiy the figs, and you can either find out yourself which figure it is for less than MSRP, or you can buy the identified ones for about $0,50 extra.

How did you know what I was thinking about the cards?  Yeah, that would have been really cool; in fact I'm actually thinking about trying to design some myself.  It was kind of dissappointing that every single minifig from the same series comes with the same peice of paper.     As far as the Galaxy Patrol (why does everybody call him the space marine or space something?  :sceptic: ), it did originnaly look like he had a visor, but after seeing the helment, there's really no way a visor could even fit    But yeah, sometimes it's hard to tell what the minifigs come with:  I didn't know the Hockey Player had a black dot until I got him! (Yeah, is is on the sheet.  Still, other than that you can't tell.)  Glad to help w/the hawaiian girl

Galaxy Patrol sounds like a group/organization, like the Highway Patrol?  Maybe it sound be Galaxy Patrolman?  Anyway, guess we should just go with what comes out of Billund (but I'd forgotten what it was).  :look:

Series 7 completed a few minutes ago, with 24 more packs for 60 more €. I still can't believe this!
Precisely the last to come were one aztec, two stuntmen and four space rangers.
I'm not bad, I'm just built that way.

It does seem like that is the case. . .    I think it's too bad that he didn't include black knives instead of grey.

That's how I feel too... ( more black less gray )

now I'm just going to give him the second knife that it comes with instead of the monkey.

Today I picked up my first CMF Series 7 packet. I chose at random, and it turned out to be the Scottish Bagpiper. I really like him! He has decent new hat and bagpipe molds.

Dooby dooby dooba... PERRY! He's a semi-aquatic, egg-laying mammal of action!

They are at my local Target :classic:  However, they are almost always out of stock, and many of the bags are crumpled from being felt through so many times.

This is just a little off topic: Once at Target, I caught a bunch of little 7-year old tourist kids from Italy (they were speaking Itlalian, and their tour guide had an Itlalian flag) cutting the bags open with little pocket knives. They had examined about 2 bags already and were going to open more when I stopped them and told the employees. Little kids :hmpf_bad:

I got the Viking Woman yesterday from Walmart. It was the last CMF Series 7 pack there! These are selling out! So pick 'em up while you can. The figure itself is pretty good, but I don't like her hair color since it is very limited. For example, if you want it to seem like she took off her helmet, the number of hair pieces is limited as the color (tan?) is a bit obscure.

Ah, I really want that Viking Lady - although you're right about the helment.  (Silly me, I mistook her TWICE for the Bride   )
