Hello everybody!

Along my mission to provide Star Wars models out of non-Star-Wars-sets to the community, I'd like to present another little model to you. :classic: It's built out of the Tiny Turbos Set 8302 - "Rod Rider" of the Racers series. It's available new for only 5.99 EUR / 4.99 GBP / 5.99 USD. With almost all of the 48 pieces conatained in this set you can build a mini version of Zam Wesell's airspeeder from the Coruscant chase in Episode II - Attack of the Clones. It might be a bit bulky, but I hope you'll recognise it. :classic:

That's it for today! :classic:

Have a happy ending of the week!

It's not your best alternate build, but it's still pretty good and instantly recognizable. Nice work.

Hello everybody!

Thank you for the nice comments! :classic:

How realistic a model turns out depends strongly on the variety of parts available, and this set has less than 50 which are focused on car building. I still find it astounding that it was possible at all to turn this racer into an airspeeder at all. After all, I just bought the set because of its colour. I walked into the store, saw it's lime green and thought "... it's lime green, let's try a Zam airspeeder out of that..."

Cheers,

~ Christopher

That's awesome that all the parts you need are in one cheap set.

Another great looking mini LegoStein!

:oh:

The ingenuity of your alternate models never ceases to amaze me. I'm not quite sure about those curved mudguard trailing pieces, but it's not like you have any others to use there.
