Iv a few questions about these big baby's :) why are they so expensive as in 20 euro per wheel/tire that's crazy? I can buy car tires for that lol.

Also why do some power puller tires have "technic power" on the sidewall and others have no writing at all?was there 2 types?

I think these look very cool on the 8110 too :)

Lego did the same thing with the tires for the 8258 Silver Champion where they said "Technic Racing" on them... Same Tires as the Williams F1(They Said "Michelin") and the 8674 Ferrari F1 that Nathanael designed...

The tires from the Power Puller are expensive because they are pretty old and there were only 2 per set... I do believe that the 8466 Tires are exactly the same minus the writing...

So basically the tires with no writing are not off the power puller set?

No, they are off of the 8466 Offroader set.... They are the same tire minus the writing...

HERE are the tires minus the writing...

Right. There were only two sets ever to have those tires which is why they are so expensive. That and their size. There were 4 in 8466 but they had no writing. There were only 2 in the Power Puller which said "Power" on the side. Getting four of those isn't easy because the Power Puller wasn't very popular in the first place.

And when you see them in person, you know why they are so expensive. That's a large piece of rubber.

Unfortunetley they are unusuable for TT, because their large weight takes away too much power. There are some nice truck designs though, like this one from zblj:

Is €60 for 4 of these wheels expensive from 8466? Also is the power puller ones with the White writing more desirable than the ones with no writing on the side?shipping would also be extra on top of the €60 ;(

I was just going to buy 8466 but just for the wheels really.

"More desirable" can only be defined by you, not by anyone else. Which one do you like better?

I bought a Power Puller just for the #4 yellow angle connector, so buying one for the wheels seems to be obvious!

So do u think €60 is a fair price or would u just buy the whole set for €150?I'm not really attracted to 8466 apart from the wheels :)

You also need to remember that with the exception of the special hubs on 8880, 8466 was the first set with steering "driven" wheels. Until recently these yellow hubs were like hen's teeth. I purchased my 8466 for the wheels, and also for the hubs/suspension. BTW I paid £10 for two power puller wheels a few years ago from Ebay. I don't see much point in purchasing a "mint" 8466 jeep and paying over the odds for it, if you are going to send it to the breakers yard. Incomplete sets sometimes come up and are a good purchase for breaking.

First post after several months of lurking!

David, I got my 8466 off ebay for 60Euro plus P&P (another 17E).

Some others I've watched on ebay have gone for 70-80Euro, so 60 just for the wheels looks quite steep.
