Anyone else in the US not have "Exclusive" option on Lego.com when looking at Themes? I was looking for the van/Post Office.

Yeah it's happening to me in Australia, I think it's worldwide.

It is a LEGO store/shop exclusive. That's why it is available only directly through LEGO.

This sucks for me as I cannot buy from the LEGO Shop. Looks like I'll have to wait for it to appear on BL.

Mine arrived yesterday!

It was an amazing and interesting build.

Looks much better in the brick than in the photos.

Buy this set, you will be blown away by the detail.

I was kind of on the fence with this one originally, but seeing those reviews are definitely tugging at my wallet. I'll probably shoot for this for Christmas. Either way, I'm sure this will be in my collection someday soon.

i think I could make the rear engine attach to the axle of the rear wheels but no moving pistons.

Just wondering if anyone else got an extra sticker sheet with their set? Not the VW one but the other one.

I'm going to London next month and will be picking this up from the Westfield store. It's £20 cheaper than buying it from S@H in Norway, so it makes perfect sense :)

On a side note, I can't believe the typo in the topic title STILL hasn't been corrected...

I bought this a couple of weeks back from Westfields store, and love it!

I loved the build, took me a couple of evenings after work to complete, and everyone I've shown has loved it so far. The detail is amazing! Hats off to the designer of this set.

Haven't been into lego since I was a kid, but seeing this on a car forum I am a regular on re-ignited that spark that only lego can bring!
I've now dug out all my old lego from the loft and I am looking at buying some of the more collectable sets!

Hi guys,

I have a question regarding Lego set 10220, the VW Camper Van released not so long ago. Could you please help me figure out the number of White 1x1 Plates needed to actually build the set?

The inventory (listed on the box, the instruction booklet number 2 and even various sites) says the set needs 36 white 1x1 plates.

But in reality you just need 35 (I triple checked the instruction booklet and built the model completely to confirm this) to complete the model.

Could someone please confirm the set just needs 35 of these pieces and that in total in the box you can find 36 (one is spare)?

Thanks,

Fabrizio

Just rechecked mine.

I only needed 35 1x1 white plates also.

Plus, I only used 7 1x1 dark bley round plates - the parts list in the instructions call for 8, and there were 9 in my set, leaving 2 spares.

I've reread the manuals & can't find a place for the 8th round plate.
