Is the Fabuland figure's hat being held on by anything, or is it just balanced?

The base is very nice, but the eye is drawn to the wand and cherry.  Very inventive use of those two parts.

Elegant and simple, and quite a cool idea.  This is honestly just a suggestion, because maybe it honestly would detract from the whole scene, but maybe the ground could use a little detailing?  It might work, it may be distracting, I simply don't know, but the whole thing from the figures down does look a little blank to me.

I didn't think to add something else in this vig because it was made just to show the minifigs. But I can understand that it looks a bit empty.
