[Roast Penguin]

I love the new zombie villagers. Gives the game a better, creepier feel in the villages at night.

Yes, it is. I actually downloaded the snapshot and fought it. I went into creative at first to get full enchanted Protection IV diamond armour, a Sharpness IV, Knockback II diamond sword, and a Power IV, Punch II bow. I also built a potion dispenser system with 4 surrounding a pressure plate. I then switched gamemodes, and spawned the Wither in a desert. I jumped into the potion stand, and then fought it. The Wither constantly launches it's heads at you, causing you to end up in a pit. Also, the attack causes your hearts and health bar to turn black, making it near impossible to see your health. After the battle, I took a few screenshots which are too big to upload here. The diamond armour ended up at about half durability after the battle, compared to full at the start. I killed the Wither, except it's attack acts similar to poison, and it killed me as well after it died.

Wow.  That sounds incredibly tough....This will be fun to fight.
Edit:  Good grief, imagine this as the guarder of the Red Wool in a Vech's Super Hostile series.

An EB server why haven't I heard of this.   I started playing MC back in Beta 1.3_01, and I miss the old day where simple was complex. I just feel now a days with all the new complex features that new and old MC players are held to unreachable level of building. I just miss the old Beta days of the cart speed glitch , caly was worth as much as diamonds, and amazing terrain generation.

Dude, That is not a good Idea. 1, because that is piracy. 2, The minecraft PC version has been around for 3 years just about 1000000? People have accounts. It is safe to make an account and but the game.

It should be safe as long as you by directly from minecraft.net .  You are more likely to run into issues by pirating in it and getting a virus.

I agree. Either that or play the free trial version. But honestly, it's completely safe and legitimate, but  I can understand your reservations about paying online. My Dad is exactly the same. But you're asking for trouble if you try to download the paid version of the game for free.

Why did the server close down?
1) The fees were expensive
2) We only had like 5 on at a time max.

That would be stealing.

However, you can buy the game at Best Buy. It's in the video game section with the gift cards. Then you just enter the code on the Minecraft site to download the game.

And no one has a powerful enough computer or the bandwidth to run their own server rather than buy time from Amazon or some other company?

I'm not planning to get a pirate copy,I was asking if anyone knew of a promotion or similar to get an account.

And Darkdragon, In the UK they don't sell those cards.

I have found a solution now, a close friend and I are going to share our account.
