For the Beta test Horry will act as the "Game master" and will guide myself and Captain JohnPaul though the first sea battle.
Please feel free to follow along but this is not a discussion thread so player only posts.

Welcome to the first battle of Rocks & Shoals!

This is a battle between Whiz and Capt.JohnPaul.

Please present links to your chosen ships and specifications. As this is a beta-test, we will use the following map on which I will place your ships.

Hopefully this will be fair, you have a much stronger ship up against two weak ones, but you have lots of cannons... if you would like me to remove a ship I will.  
Let's get this battle started!

URGENT EDIT: My broadside is wrong, fixing and re-uploading now.

We'll let Horry make that call, though with two ships you could flank me more easily.
Maybe your move/attack phase should be split between your fleet, but again we'll let the "game master" make that call.

Edit My Do. is now fixed to Gun stats were wrong .

AAH! So many edits.. if you have 7 gun broad side... 7 x 24 is 168, not 200 or something you put... How did you get that? My ships are dead in  2 hits then!

24 pounders deliever 35 points of damage each.
But I'd need to connect with every cannon on my broadside to get the max damage.
My 9 pounders should be 14 not 18 damage, but Horry told me 18 though he was probably half asleep at the time. (Theatre can kill the brain when you have a show comming up)
You might want to check the rules again.

You might want to check the rules again.

Oh yes, that's a great example of me bein' sloppy. You are right, it should be 14 damage.

And Capt.JohnPaul, your broadside actually is 140 strong (4x35) and addtionally just add the 2 nine pounders per broadside

So, all clarity removed? Let's start
