I quite like the BB hulls, as they don't have the hole in the bow anymore and it should be easy to make a straight waterline.
I haven't tried it's full potential yet, but i am planning on making a ship with it.
Wouldn't it be cool if the bowpart came out in black as well, imagine a low straight waterline..

Oh, my mistake.
But I think airbrushing is not a bad idea to create a black waterline though.

You also can create a white + white (good for a ship of a female pirate (together with the colour gold & red)).

I'm afraid you cannot make white + white. The top parts of the Armada Flagship hull are blue, and white top parts don't exist - unless they are some rare or unreleased parts.

I'd advise you to use the red ones and leave the paint.
The paint never stays on that good and it will look painted.
But it's your hull ey...

Thanks! I'm glad you confirmed the thing I was worried about. And if I might succeed in painting the hull you'll see the colour is different then LEGO black.  
Off to another way to solve this problem...

Some people made the top part black with electrical tape, i think RTN and HMS243 did it quite succesfully.

If you klick my link to Bricklink you see that there are 2 Lots For Sale in white.

That smells like paint, they don't officially excist.
The second one also says ''blue interior'', i think that explains it.

I don't trust it also... but that's what the guy on BL says.
If someone would want to buy these,  I advice you to first make contact and ask some explanation before buying.
