Hi guys. I'm new to the forum. Love the photos. I thought I'd add my contribution as a Classic vs. PotC shot:

I think that was how a lot of us felt when Pirates turned into POTC.

Don't get me wrong, I much prefer the flesh colours, and the fact that there are a couple more ships to choose from now - but licensed franchises are so restrictive. It leaves no room to think outside the box  because the builds are based on the movies.

That said, I love the minifigs.

My beaten, worn and bruised pirate captain from the '89 mini figure pack beats the living crap out of my new Jack Sparrow (or Blackbeard for that matter) any day, any time, any place! Posted Image Too bad he's missing his hook hand these days, though. But hmm, ol' cap'n beating the crap out of Jack Sparrow... I'd say that's almost pic-worthy, will have to consider that.

I don't know if this will show for you but here is a picture from me:

Posted Image

If it doesn't show then go here: a pirates picture

I didn't know anything about lighting or using a sheet for the background back when I took that picture.

Anyway, I like this sort of thing a lot, so I've been reading this thread with interest.

bboarder711, very nice, and I like the depth (that you can see what's going on behind) and the classic pirate stuff.

Glad you like it!

I remember that when I took that picture, it was because on Star Wars´s forum, Clone O´Patra made "Single Pane Star Wars Funnies", And I thought that this post could be something similar

we should make a topic with more rum ( :drunk: ) and fun ( :pir_laugh2: ), and let the landscaping and "close shots" to this one! hehe

First came up with this idea preparing my ToR III avatar, which this guy wound up being in the end. He's on a post made of Legos in front of my Ipad.

This first one is the gun deck on Dom Fernando II e Glória, image found on Google

The next one is from my trip to USS Constellation

This is actually a painting I came across on Google. I think it works best since is reminds me, just a bit, of the classic Pirates back grounds.
