I had a feeling from the first wave that these brats are spoiled, but now I'm sure of it! I mean, they have their own speedboats, airplanes, and ranches!

Oh, lookie, another Advent Calender. How wondeful!  :hmpf:
What's wrong with Advent Calendars? :look: I think that if it's done right, this could be a good way to get a lot of the exclusive elements from this theme in one package, such as the hairpieces and milk carton.

will this stay in the Town forum or move to where Belville lives in the Other forum ? :classic:
I think it should stay. Belville is its own theme with its own scale. This theme on the other hand may have differently styled figures, but otherwise it's 100% City compatible. Especially this new wave which seems to have even less girly colors.

Hmnn, the new sets seem less inspired than the first wave, except for the sand castle that is. It seems LEGO have not reconsidered the minifig decision. Oh well. An advent calendar is quite a risk TLG are taking.

'Oky' they are similar to a point, the new figures are taller but thinner.....hence two can sit side by side in a 6 wide car.
Leave it to the moderators to decide, I don't really care if it stays or goes.....a Clash song just came into my head !
But which is a better looking release first or second wave ?

Since I am more of a vehicle builder/modder I prefer the 2nd wave. I can see that the horse float is very similar to the City one. The camper could also be modded quite well. The small boat is also similar to the red City one and you get a great sand castle. Plus a VW Combi van

How could they have? Both of these waves have been prepared before the theme was ever made public. :hmpf: They have to see how they are received and how they sell before even starting to reconsider.

I'm impressed that the summer sets continue to show variety. A seaplane isn't even remotely the type of thing you'd stereotypically associate with girls. Apparently driving and flying are both passions Stephanie holds!

The second wave did not cause me great delight in comparison with the first. Possible reason is that when I get my first set of excitement will be gone. Series loses its entourage, becouse Summer sets are much closer to the classic city theme.

I was turned off at first when I found out the sets wouldn't use regular minifigures, but more and more I'm starting to really like them. With the leaked images we know 20 of the sets, while LEGO has announced 23. On page 36 of the January U.S. S@H catalog is a stylized map of Heartlake City that features some generic, more blurred structures and some others that are more defined, including drawings of the leaked sets. So I think it might show us the three sets we don't have images of. One very detailed structure is a white residential house with purple roof and a large patio. Another is a bay front structure that reminds of me of an art deco-inspired hospital and the third I can't make out as well what it could be, but is shown in the "commercial district" of the map and has a large red sloped roof.

If you go to Amazon.co.jp you can see the new summer sets again, and the inside of 3189 is shown there.
I have too few posts to add a link so just go to Amazon, type lego friends, click on any set and find the movie (Friends start at 0:30).
There are 22 sets altogether there (so there's something new  :sweet: ) and they mention a 22-minute movie.

I love these sets, can't believe I have to wait another 3-4 months for them.

I just went to the LEGO store in Hanover, Maryland and talked to one of the employees that I know there.  He confirmed that they will definitely be getting the new Friends sets in on January 1.  I'm going to check the local Toys R Us tomorrow and see if they managed to get any early (probably not)...  If so, I'll try and post a review of any Friends sets I get.

I decided to go on the website, and tried the quiz a few times, all with different answers. All I got was Stephanie. Anyone else?

Sorry for the double post, but can someone confirm that the small sets besides Steph's Convertible and Olivia's House have those hanging hooks on them?

What do you mean exactly?  Are you talking about some new part in the sets?

This video?

Looks like they're doing a lot for the theme.

^ Yes, that's the video, thanks. I like the display of all the sets at the end.

I haven't seen them in person but it seems so from the pics. Again, I can't link to them but Stephanie's Bakery, Emma's Pool, Andrea's Stage and Olivia's Workshop have the "eurohole" (that's how it's called  ).

Can this map of Heartlake City from US catalog be found online? I'd love to see those new structures.

Sadly for me the video link was too slow and crashed and burned on me, but what I saw was the map.....the question is how far is this theme going.....shopping areas, a beach, etc., ?
Lets hope this doesn't effect the releases in the city range. :sceptic:

Found some at Target and Wal-Mart. At Target, the items rang up on the scanners but they wouldn't let me buy them. At Wal-Mart, the items rang up as "invalid" on the scanners, but they did let me buy them. Go figure. Overall I'm liking the theme.

Looking forward to buying a bunch tomorrow.

These sets will be for my 3 year old girl who plays with Lego every day so I will report back how well she relates to this new theme.

Wow, I love every single one of these! They are a great way to get all the "Friends" in a cheap way and each set comes with great pieces! I hope these will be widely available, because I want at least one of each! :wub_drool:

Thanks once again, whung!
