Also, it seems Lego is packing the instructions and poster with cardboard to keep it straight!

Ooh, nice to see TLG is doing this 'cardboarded' instructions even in smaller sets. Hope to see more of these in most sets.

How long was it between the Harry Potter site being complete and the release of the sets?  I hope this means they're coming sooner rather than later.

Now I don't keep up with this thread completely, so I apologize if this is old news, but I could swear that these sets were coming out in May, yet on the May 2011 calendar pics recently posted they list the release date as April 16 (could be 18, it's hard to tell) for POTC, Alien Conquest and Lego City on May 10th, and Cars on May 16/18 (again hard to tell). Again, I'm sorry if this is old news, but I was under the impression that the sets were to come out in May alongside the fourth movie (May 20th).

I`m very pleased that the reviews from my "home" forum got here :pir-wub: . They were made by VerSen & Zeek. Could you add their names to the title?

I changed it on the frontpage. The reviews were very good so it was indeed a good idea to mention the 'authors'.
If you're a member on the Russian forum, you could perhaps invite those members to our forum (if they can speak a bit English at least).

I think we don't have to mention their names in the title of this topic though.
Their reviews are only a very small part of our forum and I think there will also be English reviews soon.

I'm just curious. There has been that picture of the May calender floating around here on EB, and I can't tell what it says for the release date for these new POTC sets? Can someone help me out?

I was just on Brickipedia, and I know that they are not always the most reliable, but it said that a Black Pearl, costing $149.99 ($30 more than QAR), and it is to be released in November. I hope they are right, and by the sounds of it, it will be bigger than QAR!  :pir-cry_happy:

November is right, but according to the catalog at the Toy Fair, I believe, it's $99.99.

Hmmm... strange.  :pir-hmpf_bad: Well, at least it will be cheaper, but hopefully it won't be too small. I really hope we get some figs other than the normal group (Jack, Will, Elizabeth, Gibbs, and so on...) I hope we get Cotton and Cotton's parrot (it'll be someone to talk to  :pir_laugh2: )

I'm hoping the BP comes with a human crew. I would like to see the following minifigures in it:
Jack Sparrow, Elizabeth Swann, Will Turner, Joshamee Gibbs, Tia Dalma, the pirate with the wooden eye (forgotten his name) and his partner (forgotten his name).

I need wheels and more cannons for the QAR (and other ships, for example Imperial Flagship).

I hope we can buy this in next time on LEGOs "Pic a Brick"-onlineshop.

That would be Pintel (bald guy) and Ragetti (with the eye).

Great stuff!  So excited for this line.  The QAR looks fantastic!  Is there any pics floating around with the Imperial Flagship next to the QAR?  (doubt it, but can't hurt to ask!)

The poster at Toy Fair said the Black Pearl is based on Dead Man's Chest.  So that means a human crew, no Barbossa, no Tia Dalma.  We might get a new Elizabeth.  Maybe Pintel and Ragetti.  But you can bet we'll get a rehash Jack (if it's DMC, I'm hoping for a coated Jack, not hat) and the same Will and Gibbs that we've already seen.  I really wouldn't expect more than one or two entirely new figs at all.

I don't think anyone mentioned that the official Lego page now has 360-degree views of the sets.

What poster? All I can remember is a grey circle with the name, price and release date in the catalogue.

I really want Tia Dalma in the BP because we don't have a single black female minifigure. But, unfortunately, that's unlikely to happen seeing as you've provided us with this info.

Yeah, that's exactly what I'm referring to.  If you check the little specs underneath the circle, it says "From Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest"

It's sad it won't have Tia Dalma.  That's one fig I'm really really hoping for in the next wave.  Along with Teague and Beckett.
