Does anyone know why Lego decided to change some of the colors of their bricks? My biggest complaint is the new shade of brown because the new barrels, treasure chests, etc do not go well with my old ones from the 90's. Could this be an attempt to try and make people want to replace their old brown pieces with these new ones?

I think the massive change in many different colors, including trans, was due to the color deteriorating over time, and these new colors were used to prevent this from happening. I hate reddish brown, but whatever, it's the brown that is used now. I feel your pain, though.
