NovaStar Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 In the middle of our budding town, there is a square. In the middle of the town square, there is a park. In the middle of the park, there is a small cafe... Okay, I've not taken a photo of the cafe in it's final location just yet, but you can get the general idea. I also need to make a decal for the roof sign... The roof and conservatory entrance are removable for easy access to the inside, where there is a glass counter filled with yummy baked goodies (which unfortunately you can't see very well), and tables in case the weather isn't nice enough to sit outside. HeLena Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 I like this MOC! It's great. I like the light brown bricks. The MOC is very warm and pleasant! Quote
lightningtiger Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 Excellent cafe 'Novastar', but might I suggest a coffee machine somewhere in the cafe. Nice and clean design.....has that Creator fused with City feel with it ! Great work and I'm a conformist! ! Quote
Stacy_ToT-LUG Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 Beautiful work, I especially like the design you used for the conservatory entrance...might have to borrow that concept for a future build ~Stacy Quote
Vincent Kessels Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 Very nice little cafe. I really like the greenery along the house. Quote
MetroiD Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 What a sweet MOC - literally. I'd love to see that in a town setting - that is, in the middle of your town park :) Quote
LEGO Guy Bri Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 Great job on the cafe NovaStar It looks just like a little cafe I go to in Easton, MD Really great work! Quote
L@go Posted January 26, 2011 Posted January 26, 2011 A lovely, clean design. I especially like the white entrance section. Great work! Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted January 26, 2011 Posted January 26, 2011 What a lovely cafe MOC NovaStar! The whole build looks very modern (glass-paned entrance design) and relaxing (serene and peaceful atmosphere) at the same time. Good job! Quote
NovaStar Posted January 26, 2011 Author Posted January 26, 2011 Thank you all for the positive comments - it's my first 'proper' MOC that will be going into our final town layout What a sweet MOC - literally. I'd love to see that in a town setting - that is, in the middle of your town park :) Once there is a little more to show of the square, I'll be posting pictures! Quote
Gregorovich Posted January 26, 2011 Posted January 26, 2011 Really nice MOC, Novastar! I love the glass entrance, the plants and the counter. It looks excellent. Good work! Quote
Brickdoctor Posted January 26, 2011 Posted January 26, 2011 Nice job! I too really like the way you've done the roof of the white portion. Quote
Captain Blackmoor Posted January 26, 2011 Posted January 26, 2011 Looks like a cafe I would get my daily coffee! It's even better with these crispy pictures. Thanks for sharing. Quote
Redcross Posted January 26, 2011 Posted January 26, 2011 looks just like the cafe at our botanical gardens, perhaps some hedges or a duck pond. Quote
SilentMode Posted January 27, 2011 Posted January 27, 2011 That's a truly awesome MOC. I don't think I've ever seen those opening windows ever being used in an MOC before, but you've used the window frames very well. I also like what you did with the soil. Quote
sens1992 Posted January 29, 2011 Posted January 29, 2011 This is AWESOME NovaStar! I wish LEGO would sell something similar to that because this is the type of building I would love to add to my LEGO city. I really love it! Well done! Quote
buddy Posted January 31, 2011 Posted January 31, 2011 Excellent MOC! It looks realistic and is detailed. The colours used work well. Extremely well done. ~buddy~ Quote
