Two Prohibition Agents investigate a tip-off they'd received regarding the distribution of illegal alchohol... Oops! This policeman has been caught drinking on the job... A band of bootleggers carry out their operation upstairs... An exterior picture without the car... ... And with the car... Dare to enter the Esmeralda Tavern? More pictures can be found here. Enjoy! BlueBard Posted January 20, 2011 Excellent job! Love all the funny faces around and how they make the action catchy and of course the great design for the tavern, especially the door and the table inside
lightningtiger Posted January 20, 2011 AWESOME creation but where is Elliot Ness ? I really like the two storey speak-easy and that old 1920's car too ! Brick On 'TinyPiesRUs' !
mikey Posted January 20, 2011 This is an excellent looking MOC, you have put some great details throughout. I really like the door design, and how that tile can slide to reveal the peep hole in it. The car is looking nice, seems very nicely proportioned. Excellent work !
Admiral Croissant Posted January 20, 2011 The car is wonderfoul I also like the door and the grey structure on top of it (supporting the roof). And the lamppost is also nice
SilentMode Posted January 20, 2011 As Donald Trump would say, you did a great job. Every element in this vignette has a purpose, and I particularly liked the gold stud being used as a badge.
denden13 Posted January 20, 2011 That was a nice idea to build this old bar. It looks simple to rebuild and I love the storyline. Congratulations on this excelent MOC.
LEGO Guy Bri Posted January 20, 2011 Awesome speak-easy you built, TinyPiesRUs or is it post prohibition? Did I see a corrupt cop in there?! Really love the car and the expressions on the faces of the "freaked out" patrons really brings it to life. Keep up the great work
TWTaylor Posted January 20, 2011 I'm speechless. Everything about this is incredible. Great work!
NovaStar Posted January 20, 2011 I love how everwhere you look in this MOC, there is some brilliant little detail or scene to capture your attention. Really nice work - and the car is brilliant!
L@go Posted January 20, 2011 Everything I wanted to say I have already read in the replies to your post. But I agree - it's superb, especially the door (the sliding tile is pure genius), the arch above it, the car (wow) and the beggar outside, with a coin in his hat. Very well done, great job! Fires-storm Posted January 20, 2011 Wow, everything about this is brilliant, you used exactly the right colors, beautiful technique on that car, and perfect expressions. Well done on this entirely beautiful blend of brilliance mate!

Gregorovich Posted January 20, 2011 This is a really cool creation! I love the way you've cut away the upper floor, and the door with the little window in it is amazing. Everything about it is excellent. Thanks for sharing it with us!
Derfel Cadarn Posted January 20, 2011 Great work! The coach is very nicely built and I love all the action and detail of the interior!
buddy Posted January 20, 2011 Outstanding MOC! Both the building and the car are excellently built. I particularly like the minifigs used and their facial expressions, they are perfect. Extremely well done. ~buddy~

TanTile Posted January 21, 2011 awesome job, it certainly has the "smooth criminal" look to it, i could see MJ doing his moves in there...
XimenaPaulina Posted January 21, 2011 Oh wow, I'm lovin' your latest creation TPRU! The whole build really resembles a scene out of the 20's and both the tavern and that lovely classic car is really very accurate to the design of those times. Excellent work! Zorbas Posted January 21, 2011 Beautiful creation TinyPiesRUs, you've captured the 20's atmosphere in a great way! There are some really beautiful details in it and those that have impressed me the most are the car the door. The car looks fantastic (excellent choice of wheels) and the door idea is genius, especially for that era. One more thing that really caught my attention in your creation is that it looks "alive", you can almost feel the action taking place. As others have already said, you've made an excellent choice of minifigs and you've placed them exactly in the right positions (the bartender looks great cleaning the glass and the drinking officer looks as if he has dropped the glass from the sudden unfortunate surprise). Well done! P.S When I first saw the photos without checking the details, I was curious about that lever/antenna sticking out from the side of the building in the second picture. A facepalm followed after a second look.
Gryphon Ink Posted January 21, 2011 This is great stuff. I love everybody's expressions, and the car is beautiful. But doesn't this joint have any security? As far as I know you didn't just walk into a speakeasy.
fred67 Posted January 21, 2011 Definitely a fantastic job... the car is fantastic, and I love the way you did a staggered second floor to see the action on the first... really great ideas rolled into this MOC, definitely a great job.
MagPiesRUs Posted January 28, 2011 Thanks to all of you for the great feedback, it's much appreciated. As promised, I've managed to take a few night shots. I'm cheating a little here, the MOC doesn't really light up, I've just used a small lamp to light the building up. Thanks.
