tazosaure Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 (edited) Hi, I'm new to LDD and I was trying to build the cafe corner alternate model according to Jamie Berard's Brickshelf gallery (http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=272793) I used to LDD LU mode to have access to has much bricks as possible since it seems some were not available in the regular mode anymore. The model has some window and and door have some fancy brick work built using a SNOT technique, I managed to build the decoration them but I cannot figure out how to make fit in the rest of the model. Thanks in advance for your help. Here is the url to my LDD build: http://www.elzz.org/lego-models/CafeConer-Alt.lxf Edited January 16, 2011 by tazosaure Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 I managed to build the decoration them but I cannot figure out how to make fit in the rest of the model. I had at look at your LXF and found out that the original model employs illegal connections that simply cannot be achieved in LDD. And what do we do in those type of cases? - we improvise. And that's what I did, I had to modify a bit the arch assembly and the connecting point to the window to attach the whole arch assembly. So here's the 'fixed' LXF. Hope that helps! Quote
