21019 The Eiffel Tower [Architecture, 2014]

21019%20The%20Eiffel%20Tower.png

MPD file (26 KB)

Errors: None

It's been quite a while since I've posted anything to Eurobricks (or been involved with the LDraw community), but with a huge outpouring of new instructions from LEGO.com, I felt a need to get my digital brick fix. I'm hoping to get some of the new Creator sets posted shortly and have started working on some more LGEO parts too.

21108 Ghostbusters Ecto-1 [LEGO Ideas, 2014]

21108%20Ghostbusters%20Ecto-1.png

MPD file [not all submodels shown, but included in file]

Errors:

- Missing correct printing

- Missing 88704, substituted with 61975

I ran a quick search in both this thread and the corresponding LDD thread, and was surprised to see that no one had posted this yet!

I would easily say that this is one of the best licensed sets that Lego has ever done, and certainly looks much better in real life than the BttF DeLorean does. In fact, I currently have Ecto-1 in pride of place on the shelf above our fireplace.

Bonus points go to Lego for no spelling mistakes on the printed parts this time, although the booklet doesn't fare so well. The "IIn" error below appears on the first page of both the printed and PDF versions...

Thank you very much!

21020 Trevi Fountain - Architecture

800x450.jpg

Download

Errors: Missing tile 1x8 with text "Trevi Fountain" and the tiles on top should be dark bluish grey. .ldr file is correct, tile 1x8 with text "Trevi Fountain" is an unofficial part.

Not entirely happy with the render due to the position of the model, but this one took 6 days and 13 hours to render, so no re-render. I really love models with transparent plates....... :hmpf_bad:

You can find the tile you are missing on the ldraw part tracker.

Nice render anyway!

Thanks, checked the tracker a couple of days ago and it wasn't there. I will update my file.

Thanks, checked the tracker a couple of days ago and it wasn't there. I will update my file.

In case you're interested, I have updated my LGEO Update Pack with the printed tiles for the last three Architecture sets, and these parts use the correct typeface. Although running a full render again would take a long time to do, you could always re-render the section of the image that shows the printed tile, in case you wanted to update your images.

And as @Darats mentioned, the Trevi Fountain tile is now available via the LDraw Parts Tracker, and I may or may not have been the one that submitted it...

I saw you submitted it, hope I didn't spoil your build of the fountain by posting it first. I'm going to look into partial renders, the best solution with these render times. And thanks for the new LGEO parts.

Well, I don't see any duplicates... Have you noticed the A/B/C model notes?

EDIT: or do you mean same set and post with different set number? I did that on purpose, so people can find the right set, doesn't matter which set number they search :classic:

Ah so some of these sets were released or have varying set numbers?

Well, in the 70s and 80s Lego released some sets which were essentially the same, but had a different set number. Most of the times this was to differentiate the EU and US versions. This also happened in the first few years of Lego Technic, were all models had 2 versions, 1 EU version and 1 US version. The models were the same, but the set number was different.
