2011 Kingdoms + US prices

Maybe there's someone out there who builds an army of blacksmiths to sell them to. I have no need for so many boring civilians! YAWN  (I also have no room for so many civilian sets what with all my armies & castles... and spaceships...)

I see where you're coming from, yet I rather have my trusty crownies defend their loved ones, most likely civilians. It doesn't feel right to me having an army of well equipped soldiers and nothing for them to do other than standing guard needlessly and defending the king's treasury at the most... Well, I'm a sucker for logic AND emotion it seems. And for emotional and logical backstories that is ;-)

Wow. Even though I don't spend very much on castle, I will have to pick up that blacksmith set. Is that bucket a new mold? It would be perfect for my beach scene.

Yes indeed it is, it's also in the new POTC sets

That's a very valid point, sir. However, I'm also on a budget. Like, on a very strict one. So I need to look for value for money as well, and I expect more from a $10 set. Maybe it's just me. Who knows, maybe I will come to like it eventually...

The good thing about the set is that it comes with a knight, and when you think about it last wave's 10 dollar set was nowhere as full of parts and interesting. :sweet:

Look at it this way; you get the knight, a civilian a whole bunch of weapons, a few new pieces and a chicken, as well as a really neat little shack full of browns and bleys; ready for MOC'ing. I couldn't ask for a better value for $10 to be honest.

If there is one set that isn't worth the money it's the carriage set; very awkward design, no special parts, and except for horses and king, nothing new. :hmpf_bad:

Haha, yeah in a perfect world I would have time to play with my Lego too! Unfortunately my medieval world is continually war torn, so all the civilians live inside the castle for protection. All the armies do these days is stand guard at the castle, just in case an enemy comes to attack and enslave them. (Which used to happen regularly when I was younger.)

Funny. I personally like last wave's 10 dollar set more. I prefer the extra minifig and horse to the non-figure parts. Each to his own, I guess.

I'll be getting multiples of all of these... and I hope the chickens and goats are available in next year's Pick-A-Brick or Factory selections. I'll use them in the farm on the BAYLUG/BAYLTC layout.

Keep up the good work, designers!!

I won't repeat what everyone has already been saying, but to sum it up these sets make me feel loved! Thank you lego! The kingdoms line just keeps getting better! Are those stickers on the horses or printing? Please don't be stickers.

Ah, kris kelvin, thank you! )

You are the one bringing good news today! very nice closeup of the box. I can see the new torsos clearly now. I suppose the dragons have every right to attack the peasants. Why do they have gold in their bsrrels?! Smuggling something, eh? ) :hmpf_bad:

Good day, ladies and gentlemen! ) :classic:

I think the goats look good. I am hoping TLG does something with sheep in it though (that I can then order via LUGBULK and use for a sheep station :)

I love the goat, the printed pig, the printed horse, the new torsos, the mill, the farmhouse, the pitch forks, the pails, and everything in this new set. At least 3 copies for me!

These sets have a great selection of parts and minifigs, can't wait to grab some. :classic: First line that I'm actually going to get multiples of most of the sets!

EDIT: Has anyone seen prices for the sets?

Is the minifig on the carriage with the fork in hands a female one, too ? 2 female civilans in one Set ? Great.

This is the first chance I've had to look at these new pictures, and I haven't read through all the responses (yet), but my first reaction is that the mill is a bit disappointing, not on par with the MMV. The mill is way too small. I like the barn and pretty much everything, just the mill itself is not particularly good, IMO.

Escape from Dragon's Prison looks terrible... a facade? Really?

I like the smith's little mill... except it's too little.

The carriage ambush is the only one I think really lives up to my expectations, I really like the trees.

Ultimately I will likely get them all anyway. :sadnew:

Well the mill set is no special exclusive set like MMV, so it doesn't bother me much that the mill is rather small. As much as i would have also loved if it was extremely detailed with lots of parts, but then it would have been much more expensive aswell. Actually i think everything in this set is just right, it's a normal set, and for that it is perfect.

No, it's a young man. Do you see any lipstick or eyelashes on the face, after all? Besides, that hairpiece has so far been exclusively used for males. Great to have it in a new color, by the way!

I'm loving the unique civilian minifigs that the Mill set offers, alongside the fantastic animals and medieval farming equipment. This is a rare treat for a set, indeed.

Escape from Dragon's Prison looks terrible... a facade? Really?

But it's $20!! :oh:

I'd say for 4 minifigs, a horse with barding and a few parts it's totally worth the price.

This set is an army builder and I'm glad it doesn't include too much of a building because if it was 25-30$ it wouldn't be affordable to get multiples.

Same here i think is the best army builder of the theme.

I dont know if to buy 2 or 4.

Because ill get at least 2 of the 10 dollars set and a mill. :classic:

I like to think of it as an add-on to the Prison Tower. Or as a stand-alone outpost. It's a nice Dragon Knights part pack, either way. :classic:

I think the same too

Just like the first line of defense for the tower and Dragon territory.

NOT IF I BUY ALL THE STOCK FIRST...

Taking a closer look at the mill set (great box pic by the way, thanks!) I have to agree with others: frankly the goats & chickens don't look like Lego to me. Neither do apples btw. Pigs are borderline for me - from what I can tell so far the buckets are too. Might change my mind when I see them.
