Overview:
This is the most recent set i've bought, and one of the best. Value for money is great here, as for 3.99, you get a Dinosaur, a good minifig, and a really nice vehicle. My first gripe with this set (as with the entire Dino 2010 line) is the fact that they have no proper weapons. Yeah, a chain on a stick is really useful against a dinosaur twice the size of you... |-/

No more grumbling, on with the review.
The set in all its glory
That shows you what you get for your hard earned 3.99.

The Dino:
Grrrrr
I really like this. Ok, on the face of it, it's just a bit of molded plastic. But i think lego is really onto a winner with the entire design, the detail on the face is great. And the splash of colour across the back is brilliant.
Splash
This is the sort of thing that you imagined Dinosaurs looked like when you were a kid. Not some hulking, ugly green thing like what lego produced with the last Dino line.
Holes
These stud holes are very useful for placing the Dino.

The Quad:
Vrrrrmmmmmmmm
I feel the best thing about this Quad is the simplicity of it. It still looks amazing despite the build of it not being complicated. My other gripe is that it can be a tad difficult to put the mercenary dude on the Quad with the stick-chain in his hand. I also love the colour scheme on the Quad. (you can never have enough dark red ;-) )
The one good thing about the 'weapon' is that it can be interchangable with only a few extra bits:
Venom Injector
I haven't been able to make a chaingum attachment yet...

The Fig:
'Don't mess with me, i have a stick-chain' (sorry the pic is a bit bad)
I really like this fig because it has a great torso design, which can be used for other figs, and the face goes really well with the rest of it. It really looks like he has become hardend by battling the Dinos.

And that's it, a great little set. A good addition to anyones collection. And brilliant if you're strapped for cash.

Rating:
Pieces: 7/10
Minifigures: 9/10
Playability: 9/10
Originality: 8/10
Set Design: 9/10
Overall: 8.4/10

I don't think this goes here...

My brother has the US version, I think I'd rather the chain than that honking huge gun!

i dont see the point of this line...
i think is one of the worse ever made by lego
to "dark" and "deadly"..

not my idea for what lego should be making..

and are those dinos one piece?

The Dino in this set is one piece, but in other sets in the line there are some dinos which require construction.

I would of like the US version but its easy to make a custom version that looks like the US one, i like this set and the quad bike is a lovely vehicle.

As for the dino well i dont like love it or hate it, but i does seem very un-lego to me.

Really Vader? I thought the bigger ones looked sort of megablockish to me.

I loved this set.  It is the perfect way to get one character and a dino.  Great to customize.  I also think that whatever the guy is wearing is not the same as it is in the helicopter so a fifth man can be added to the team

Good review.  I almost bought this set the other day myself, but I decided to wait until I get to go to a LEGO store.

Well done, yet another review from Joe!
