A lot of people have been complaining about the Atlantis gates being useless, as one could just swim over them. Atlantis is a sunken city! The gates were useful before the city was swept into the ocean! Therefore, having gates makes complete sense.  :classic:
While that's good information that I'm sure no one else thought of it's hardly worth a separate topic so I merged it with the review.

I'm not interested in the Atlantis theme the least bit but they'd better release that guardian with his fantastic armour and helmet in a small set. That minifig is awesome. I want one.:)
That armour might look good on an orc chieftan / warrior, I'd like to check it out.

I wasn't very interested in this set until now, thanks for the awesome and very convincing review.   The fantastic figs, great construction, and unique features really make this a standout. Too bad the price point is way out of my range.  :sceptic:

Great review, but might I say that it's a curiass (the Armour) not a pauldron anyway nice review.

Love those sharks... But will not get the set just for them, don't really know what to do with the rest.. Still, great review and good set!

Thanks for this great review.
This set looks awesome and the gatekeeper minifig is just great. It alone is reason enough for me to get this set.
