What is LDD
LDD is short for Lego Digital Designer, a freeware tool from TLG to design 3D Lego models. Compared to other Lego CAD-tools, LDD's strongpoints are that it's extremely easy to get started with. The main critisism used to be the lack of bricks, but with the Extended Mode (see below) this has now been fixed.
Posting LDD topics at Eurobricks
Some basic rules for posting LDD topics at EuroBricks:
1) All questions, thoughts, how-to, news, bugs, post processing, LDD models of official Lego sets, or anything else related to LDD as a tool - post in this forum (the LDD forum). This also includes MOCs with LXF-file attached.
2) Any MOCs done in LDD that belong to a specific theme (e.g. Pirates, Star Wars etc) should be posted in that forum

Sorry for this, but how does one upload their .lxf's. I thought I saw this answer somewhere but I couldn't find it again. When I attempt to attach an lxf to a post I get "you are not allowed to upload this type of file" have I not reached a certain threshold?
"When some wild-eyed, eight-foot-tall maniac grabs your neck, taps the back of your favorite head up against the barroom wall, and he looks you crooked in the eye and he asks you if ya paid your dues, you just stare that big sucker right back in the eye, and you remember what ol' Jack Burton always says at a time like that: "Have ya paid your dues, Jack?" "Yessir, the check is in the mail."

If you want to attach the occasional LXF to a post, then just zip the file first, and it will attach.

Easiest is to start an account on Brickshelf - www.brickshelf.com, where you can upload both images and LXF-files.

Cool, thanks so I needed to zip it first. I'll set up a Brickshelf acc.

Well, actually since we were talking, we've made a change in the board so you can now upload the LXF without zipping. But a BS account is still the best in the long run.
