Well, I think it would probably look better on a larger building, and covering more area. I can understand if you run out of cylinders, it takes quite a few. I'd also try to use less supports (the 1x6 plates in your pic), because they tend to break up the flow and overall look of the roof.
To clear things up a bit, the man in the red with the parcel was intended as the merchant buyer, and the other as the foundry owner. But it doesn't really matter.
And, as the_green_avenger kindly pointed out, the grey barrel was supposed to the chimney stack, coming up from the oven.
