Some game play footage is out, not allot, but it looks pretty interesting, looks as if they are aiming for gen x, hopefully it will be the first decent transformers game out.

I noticed some familiar faces, what to me seems like my personal favourite old Soundwave, and also what seems like Bumblebee, Ironhide, and Ratchet.

I am really excited about this game. What I love is that they are taking the same approach as Batman: Arkham Asylum. Take a character that is old and well known that has been revived in recent years through films (except the Batman ones were good) and put a retro spin on a new video game. I love that, like Arkham, it is a fresh story that is true to the comics and tv series over the movies. Batman is a great example of how a licensed game can be successful, and I like this game will follow in it's footsteps.
Chuck Norris doesn't hate the world. He just hates everyone in it.

Batman: Arkham Asylum is one of the best games released in 2009 in my opinion. If Transformers: War for Cybertron does for Transformers what Batman: Arkham Asylum did for Batman in terms of games, I will need a clean pair of pants.

Choosing the War for Cybertron story is a smart move as not too many people know it, which means they have more freedom.

Thanks for the link, DarthSion

You can see it on www.transformersgame.com as well, it just doesn't have any news or anything, just tha vid.
But I'm really excited about this game.

Agreed, that's the reason I love it so far. A new story to play, and more history/background of the Transformers universe for me to discover

And of course, also the futuristic looks to the cars vehicles

Greetings,

CF W

Here's something fun...the War For Cybertron trailer tweaked with a little nostalgia.

HaHa that was cool, some footage i hadn't seen, the face of the big decepticon looks sort of like ravage.

That would be Trypticon, the Decepticon battle station/city that transforms into a dinosaur. What's not to love Posted Image

The toys look pretty nifty for it as well.

And all I can say is that Omega Supreme OWNED that decepticon.

Yeah but it doesn't change the fact his face looks like ravage.

Ok so we have Trypticon, but what about Metroplex? Personally I'd like to see two city transforming robots duke it out.

I really, really, really hope that they don't mess this game up. After the disaster of Aliens vs. Predator, I would be thrilled if they got this right. If the multi-player is as good as Mr. Tieger says it will be, I can finally put away Modern Warfare 2 for a good loooong time. I can't wait to find out more of the Transformers they put in, it was pretty encouraging to hear him talk about the inclusiveness they wanted to achieve. Oh, and while I can't imagine they would do such a thing, if I can't play as Soundwave....instant boycott. Posted Image

Thanks for that!

It looks very interesting, I wonder how free you are in that "create your own Transformer" thingy.
There are also some other interesting vids about TF:WfC. Mainly the "Making of...#1" vid. I can't recall it's exact title but you'll know what I mean when you see it.

Man this game is gonna rock, can't wait for it to come out
