After my MOColympics round against Dave Sterling a while back i have been working on techniques for building Mechs. I sat and worked on just some small thoughts for this one, so tell me how do you think it looks? (i want to start small and work my way up)

Very nice, although it should have some guns, arms, or at least something to make it more than a pair of powered legs. As cool as it is, I can't really see much usefulness in it.

Stylistically, I have mixed opinions. It's got a few roundy sort of parts, but it's mostly a very boxy vehicle, and the two styles don't really blend together very well. Perhaps you could change that radar dish on the front into something like a 2x2 round tile with a pattern... as it is, the radar dish seems a bit out of place.

The back view is phenomenal, and I love the robot arms and binoculars used as greebles. It'd help if the front had the same utilitarian style as the back, instead of the boxy look it currently uses. For instance, the click hinges that attach the legs could be changed from bricks to plates, and some cheese wedges or similarly contoured parts could be used in place of the vents which make the front uncharacteristically flat.

Overall, this could use improvement stylistically, but it's still an attractive build and an innovative one. I hope to see an improved version that works from this general concept!

Hello!

It's already pretty nice looking, but I think the cockpit section looks a bit unfinished. Those 4 round 1x1 bricks look like they could be the ideal starting point for a cage-like cover of the driver. If the walker should fall over during combat, a cover around the pilot might save his life, instead of being exposed like that. :classic:

Cheers,

~ Christopher

It looks good but if I was you I'd think about what its purpose is and work from there. As Aanchir said, it's questionable what it can do aside from walk. Whether that mean is needs weapons, arms, sensors... etc. depends on you.

(This belongs in Sci-Fi so I'll move it there.)

I like it but it looks like it needs some arms or guns, or more legs.

Preferably arms. I like the size though, and overall design, infact my only complaint is it needs arms or some sort of torso action.

Aside from a lack of arms or weapons, its looking good. Maybe a cage cockpit would look nice, especially for a poor minifigure who would otherwise fall to his demise. Maybe the arms could go where the 2x1 slope is on the body. Id make an arm wielding something or with built in munitions to give a little 'umph' to it. Good start Mr. Tools.
