There have been rumors for years about Tim Burton making an Alice in wonderland movie but when my cousin went to see avatar he said the best part was the Alice in wonderland commercial then I found these trailers for it on youtube.
The shorterer trailer.
The longerer trailer.
Oh and also keep your eyes peeled for the Jabberwock at 1:41 in the second video. :sweet:

I've seen this trailer at least 20 times. I'm so going to this film! I'm a huge Tim Burton fan, I love Johny Depp and I am a sucker for HBC! WOW

Edit:
I added some pictures of LEGO Alice in Wonderland to show how nice these two go together:

I do like Tim Burton and his films but...Why do they keep letting him do this stuff?

I mean, Its ok with animation but why real life films?
You all realise that this is going to turn out like Sweeney Todd, Nothing like he would have looked like and a new scene kid look, all dressed in black, Pale with black and white hair?

Now I'm not saying these are bad movies, I love them but the ones derived from books and storys are kind of ruined by all the dark "emo-ish" colours and curls. I mean you look in any Goth or Emo's room and I guarantee you will see something with Nightmare Before Christmas.

Edward Scissor hands made Leather and Chains and pale with long hair sexy. Well so they say, But if I saw a girl with curly black hair and pale...I'd probably stare.

I can't understand why he hasn't made Jack the Ripper yet?! It would be perfect for him.

But the real problem is half of those Emos don't even know it's a movie!

Alice in Wonderland is one of my least favorite Disney movies, and I have never liked any of the other adaptions, but this one looks promising. I'm no emo guy, but I like Burton's work, and this movie certainly seems to have his signature style. I especially like the Cheshire Cat. The Mad Hatter is a perfect role for Depp as well. This is definitely on my to-watch list for this year. But I still think it would have been more entertaining if he would have made something more in the style of American McGee's Alice instead of an adaption of the original book.

I thought the Mad Hatter would better fit Jim Carrey. He would just do it good.

Wow I didn't know you were one to like that video game Oky it's a pretty fun game. :look: But if you saw the trailer you would notice the stories are similar except in Tim's movie Alice isn't a psychopathic
Killer. But I completely disagree about the other thing I for one loved those books and everybody in my imidiate family likes it so I guess it runs in my family. And I agree with Joey, Depp isn't silly enough for the role.

:EDIT: Joey Depp isn't really an actor or an EB user.

Yeah, I guess he could play more mad than Depp can, but I can imagine that Depp can make it work if he mixes Willy Wonka with Jack Sparrow.

I've never played it actually, only seen trailers and stuff, but I like the idea of a dark and gritty Alice sequel.

I remember seeing posters for all the characters over the summer. This movie looks great! I plan to go opening day and see it in D.

I agree that American McGee's version would have been more entertaining as well as more "fitting" for an "Alice in Wonderland" movie. Even when i was little i always saw Alice and wonderland as being a bit...Out there. One has to wonder how Alice didn't go syhco dealing with chasing a rabbit, babbling fat twins, and skitsofrentic cat and a 'Mad Hatter".

I love how they made the Cheshire Cat so tiger-like! Just listen to that roar! :cry_happy: I'm not seeing the Jabberwock. Can I have a screenshot of it, it is in my sig afterall.

EDIT: I was watching the wrong video. The Cheshire Cat wasn't that lion thing... And I saw the Jabberwock! Stunning! The Cheshire Cat in it's top hat is so cute.

I got a screenshot of it:

I am not a big Tim Burton fan, but I might go and see this movie. It definitely looks kind of creepy, and the filming and CGI style looks a little too out-there for me. Still, I might have to see it.

I think you have the wrong impression of this movie, plokoon512. :sceptic: This is not an adaption of the book (there are too many of those already), but rather some sort of sequel to it. Watch the trailer again and you'll see what I mean.
